EDIT: OOO! OOO, OOO, OOO! Okay, so Peter's been dreamwalking. He had dreams of flying when he was picking up on Nathan's powers but what Simone described doesn't sound like what Peter went through that time. So I had a thought. Peter spends a significant amount of time with Nathan (and has a biological connection with him) and borrows his powers. Peter spends a significant amount of time with Isaac helping him get clean and borrows his powers. Which begs the question -- if Peter really is dreamwalking, who's the last person he spent a significant amount of time with?

Actually, I'm not so sure that Sylar is eating brains and stealing powers any more. I think that everything we've heard or seen about him can be explained by telekinesis. As for the frzon victim, I think that was the victim's power going off right before or at the time of death. Like how Radioactive Man loses control of his power when he's upset or stressed.

I liked that. Since they gave Peter such a nice sanitized version of Rogue's powers (really, he's more Synch from the Generation X spinoff series), they needed something else to show the "when powers suck" side.

re: Peter dreamwalking? In the pilot, Peter wakes up from the first flying dream we see, and he's in the Devereaux(sp?) home/suite, right next to Charles. Perhaps he was picking up on Simone's father's dreaming powers? To go along with the idea of needing lots of time in proximity to another power, it seems pretty clear that until he quit, Peter was spending a lot of time with Simone's father.

tragically, simone. mohinder went home to india and then pete spent a huge pile of time with isaac.

No, he was with Mohinder and then split up to go with Isaac, and then he came home and dreamwalked, and THEN he saw Simone. He did spend time with Simone, but that was before wandering around the city with Mohinder. He's got precedent for the powers hanging on for a while even after he's run into another Hero, too -- the sketch he did in the hospital after jumping off the building with Nathan.

I just really don't want it to be Simone. Simone sucks.
