NaNo word count and ramblings on [livejournal.com profile] iblewupyourcar. I'm behind, but I'll get it back, y'all.

John Barrowman is exploring castles on HGTV. There's a delicious threat of him in a kilt, so it is a moral imperative that I stay awake and watch.

EDIT: Oh, sweet Jesus, not only is he wearing a kilt, he's going full-tilt with the accent. *spontaneously orgasms*

Ack! I keep missing that show!!

As for the accent, I believe his mother is Scottish... he was imitating her on one of the interview shows earlier this week. And oh yeah... I'm right there with you.

He said right before they got into the section about the castle that he'd probably slip right into the accent since he'd been born and raised in the area, although admittedly in less grand circumstances.

And then he did, and DAAAAAMN.

He was raised in Glasgow until he was 8.

Oh yes, John in a kilt. I am so jealous of you at this moment.

I think both his accents sound fake, even though they aren't. You should find the interview with him on Jonathan Ross that was shown on the 10th, if you haven't already. Classic. He made out with a guy in a gorilla suit.

Is he a regular on HGTV, or just doing a guest spot?

He does the Scottish during the commentary for either "The Empty Child" or "The Doctor Dances" while discussing the fact that originally, Jack had an English accent until he copped to being a conman, at which point he went American. He decided to demo his mother's accent, too, and, well, *wibble*.
