Awww, poor woobie.

Hiro and Charlie -- Aw, damn it, I want Charlie to stay and be alive and make out with Hiro. I just want to sweep Hiro up into a great big hug and tell him it'll all be okay even though you just know it won't. The thing that strikes me about the whole thing is that Charlie has a superbrain AND a blood clot in there. That just seems like something that's too close for coincidence. On the other hand, does it mean anything bad for Sylar if he takes Charlie's broken superbrain for himself?
Nathan, Heidi and Peter -- I like Heidi a lot even though I'll admit she's got crappy taste in men, considering what an ass Nathan can be. (Yes, I love him, but with complete and total understanding that he is a ginormous asshole.) And, awww, that hug and kiss on the head that Nathan gave Peter before everything went to hell. See, he can be a real big brother sometimes.
Matt and Janice -- Aw, man, how many problems can you dump on one guy's head in six months? He just gets screwed by life every time he turns around.
Sylar -- Sheesh, that guy is creepy, although I kept thinking that he looked like a low-rent Jason Schwartzmann because I am a bad, bad person. I think it was the eyebrows maybe. The whole stealing-brains-to-steal-powers thing is scary enough, but it's that missing step from "killing your ass and unscrewing your skull" to "look at what I can do now!" that's the worst part. I do think it's like the anti-Peter in that he draws the energy from the brain and keeps it (unlike Peter, at least so far) which is why he couldn't display that ability to Chandra at the drop of a hat, but the fact that he keeps popping open people's skulls to do it is freaking scary. I really felt sorry for Brian Davis, too. Poor guy, not wanting his powers and getting killed for them. And the worst part is that I have the sinking suspicion from things the writers have said about characters dying or losing their powers that given time Peter may have been able to zap away Brian's powers for good and he could have just gone off and become a tax auditor or a file clerk or a circus acrobat or whatever else floated his boat.
Niki and company -- Someone over on the TWoP boards threw out the theory that Niki's channeling the dead and I'm starting to believe it. I mean, Jessica acts awfully mature for someone who died when she was eleven.
Mr. Bennet and company -- Am I the only one who finds it strange that Mr. Bennet works for a secret organization with what seems like unlimited funds and he seems to spend so very much of that time covering up for Claire? Something about that situation does not sit right with me at ALL. I mean, I know he's supposed to help Heroes and she is one, but that seems like an overextension of "conflict of interest."
My pets are acting insane. Emmett's spazzing out and Otis has been looking for me to pet him (and I have a LOT) for the past ... oh, FOUR HOURS. Uh, I think that's how my cat tells time -- by getting someone to yell at him, "Would you knock it off? You've been doing that for four hours!"

(Yes, I love him, but with complete and total understanding that he is a ginormous asshole.) And, awww, that hug and kiss on the head that Nathan gave Peter before everything went to hell. Date: 2006-11-28 03:58 am (UTC)Yeah, Mr. Bennett just keeps throwing up smokescreens. If he's trying to help the Heroes, or hurt the Heroes, you would think he'd want Eden to get a hold of the list, not spend all her time getting Claire OFF of it. Other option is that Claire's the ultimate result of Secret Organization's work, and he's trying to protect her because they're planning on using her potential for Secret-Organization-type deeds?
I love shows that answer, then ask more. lol

Date: 2006-11-28 04:12 am (UTC)The mutation = cancer and/or superpowers thing was iiiinteresting, seeing how it came up in two different storylines. Hmm.
I am v. confused about Mr. Bennet's organization... so they've been looking for supers pre-Chandra's theories and stuff? And then Chandra is all, "Oh, hey, your daughter is super!" and he's like, "Damn you, poetic justice!" and now he's got a conflict of interest? Something?
Lastly - how sad is it that Nathan's powers manifested like that? And how did he get from going after Lindermann to accepting his money in Vegas? *is confused* But oh, brothers Petrelli, you are so messed up. Never change! ♥!
Oh, Heroes, so awesome!

Date: 2006-11-28 04:18 am (UTC)i really loved all the ANSWERS we got. i mean, sure not everything, but im so glad they answered WHY sylar cuts out their brains and how he knows about them all and all that stuff. and how nathan survived the crash! just floating there watching his wife hit that barrier. NOT FUN.
sylar is CREEPTASTIC. seriously. he is so obsessed with being different that he'll do anything to get there. so do you think hes drawing it from the brain. my head kept giving me visions of him like, EATING the brain or something. it is kind of interesting how he can see what's 'broken' or mutated, as the case may be.
jessica confuses me. since that debunks the theory that she came about when DL left. apparently shes always been there? since jessica herself died? maybe the girls had a psychic connection and when jessica died her consiousness was absorbed into nikki?
and whats up with nathan and peter? is the fact that he keeps having dreams a part of his power? is that why he's so connected to nathan. I WANT TO KNOOOW.
i love how theyre presenting claire's regeneration, that it slowly got more and more powerful, and that she eventually got suspicious enough to test it, thus the tape she made with zack.

Date: 2006-11-28 04:32 am (UTC)Huh! That's interesting! What have you heard? Because every time Peter does his thing, it's temporary.
It's cool how Peter and Sylar have like the good/evil variations of the same basic power. Peter's is all intuitive and... natural? Sylar's is methodical and cannabilistic.

Date: 2006-11-28 05:16 am (UTC)Then Charlie told Hiro she had a blod clot and was going to die and all I could think was about Claire having a genetic anomolly. Then I thought, maybe Sylar is actually trying to fix what he sees wrong with mutants...in his own very psychotic way.
Like maybe he only kills the mutants that he sees are going to die because of something in their brain. Cause he did go after Charlie but he seemed to totally ignore Hiro and, I think the only reason he tried to kill Clea Duval's character and Matt is because they were protecting that little girl.
Anyway, this episode was totally AWESOME and I can't wait till next week's ep!

Date: 2006-11-29 12:27 am (UTC)One of the previous victims was frozen - He probably activated his ice powers to defend himself and then Sylar scalped him.
Sylar didn't notice Hiro because he wasn't actively using his powers. Charlie, OTOH, was using her super-memory all-day long while Sylar watched.
Later, when he was fleeing and encountered Eden, he waited for her to make the first move with her power... unfortunately for him, he didn't get to do anything after that.

Date: 2006-11-28 02:18 pm (UTC)I'm thinking maybe Niki's real power is super strength.
But only the protective personality has caught onto that yet.

I love her power, since I can do the same, with artificial means. ;)

Date: 2006-11-28 04:09 pm (UTC)Friggin' time paradoxes. If she was killed by Sylar, where's the police investigation? If she was killed by the tumor, then why's Ando still there, since there was no reason for Hiro to disappear in a not-being-murdered-by-Sylar reality?
Brain... hurting...

Date: 2006-11-28 05:11 pm (UTC)*cough*
Poor Hiro! Ooh, he's so sad and down and...wtf with his powers going all blewy like that?
And it seems like Syler's power was *fixing* things - or knowting things were broken, and i'm totally bummed that Chandra missed that completely. Although his *second* power seems to be something like Nathan's, only he can keep the power rather than just using it temporarily.
Innnnnnnnteresting.
Good stuff!
