A couple more comments about tonight's "Heroes" episode ...

-- Guys, Candace isn't a shapeshifter, she creates illusions. You can tell in the scene in Isaac's studio ... you can't see Simone's body when she walks into the room but as soon as the cops leave and Simone changes the real Simone reappears on the bed.

-- I don't think I can handle anti-incest Paire shippers anymore. A few are really starting to scare me. Which is weird because you'd think it'd be the unclefuckers who'd be scaring me, and yet. *has headache*

-- I'm still trying not to think about how much I want to rifle through the drawers in Linderman's gallery. *WANT*

Thanks. I was trying to figure that out while I was watching the episode, and then I got distracted by the need to jump up and down and squeal.

Pretty much. If I had to guess (not having bothered to look), they're probably whipping up massive amounts of loopy, complicated AUs.

You know, it's the ones who just AU them as not related, I can handle. You don't like incest but you like Peter and Claire together? Write an AU. Knock yourself out.

But some of them are STILL trying to theorize they're not really blood relations on the show, and it's like, "Uh, no."

The big theory on the anti-cest Paire shippers is that Peter was adopted. He's a foster kid, ala Claire, now that we know that Mama Petrelli is awesomely kickass and knows what's going on.

Yes, that's what annoying me right now. It isn't like Claire's search for her biological parents which we got to hear about from day one -- it comes from nowhere but a wide-eyed desperate hope that they're not writing something skeevy.

Seriously, just because Mama Petrelli knows what's going on does not have to mean Peter is a foster child. The simple explanation -- which, regardless of the shocking reveals on this show, is usually the case -- is that either she or Papa Petrelli had powers and passed them on, which would explain how she knew about Peter and Nathan's abilities and why she would go to such lengths to get Claire back into the family. Mama Petrelli's awesome beyond the telling of it, but I really don't see that woman going all Angelina Jolie over a foster child with superpowers. (And why stop with Peter if that were the case? They're rich and obviously there are many of these kids out there.)
