-- I'm thinking of going to pick up a futon at Wal-Mart, and the only thing currently stopping me is that my brother has mysteriously disappeared (he's probably gotten a job finally, that bastard) and my sad excuse for upper-body strength is not going to get a huge heavy box onto a cart.
-- I need to clean my apartment today. The only reason the mess isn't getting to me is because I don't own enough stuff for the mess to get in the way in my huge-ass apartment.
-- I'm tempted again to dare everyone I know who writes fanfic to finish an original novel by the end of the year. I want you people published, damn it, if only so that I can stop getting all of my literary entertainment online. :)
-- Regarding the current SPN wank ... eh, I use HP fandom as an example. Eighty percent of the pairings I see in that fandom boggle my mind in how completely out of left field they come from (far enough to be carrying corn and talking to Kevin Costner, if you get my meaning), but to each his own. And hell, good enough writing will make me buy anything even if I myself can't see the subtext in a relationship without the use of an electron microscope.
-- After I clean my apartment and finish the Heroes thing that I probably should have finished a week ago but didn't, I start drinking and staring at the cover of the first boos_hound addition in morbid amusement.

Don't know about a novel, but I have short-story-age, three of which are out being considered by editors. Honestly, I'm not sure I have a novel in me; nothing I've ever written even comes close to the length required. But at least I'm writing original short fiction?

Everyone has bad days--it would have been fantastically wanky if she'd posted her rant to a comm, but it was her personal journal. blah blah blah insert throughts on f_w and the intrusive nature of wanking a single entry here. *grin*

That's true, although I think the problem lies when she goes wandering into other people's journals saying the same thing. (Not that she has this time, which is why I don't think it was wanky enough for F_W just yet, even if everybody and their brother has something to say about it.)

Heh. Ain't that the truth. I'll ship het ships and slash ships of both sexes, I'll ship established pairings and crack pairings, I'll ship fake people and real people, I'll ship vanilla average pairings and whacked-out incestuous brothers with wings and fangs and forty-seven dildos and a gigantic vat of chocolate-flavored lube. Hurts no one and ... well, I like what I like. :)

*snicker* *nods* A friend says I'll 'ship just about anything that comes down the pike if I can be made to believe it. I haven't managed that yet but, really, *handwave* I'm not that far from it. Though I do tend to be a little astonished if I end up 'shipping a popular canon pairing. It's bound to happen sooner or later but, heh. I still end up going "huh, wha?"
