While reading an article about NBC's fall lineup, I read this in a section about new shows they're picking up --

... and "Chuck" is a thriller about a computer geek who becomes a government agent after spy secrets are embedded in his brain.

-- and thought, "That's funny. I could have sworn I fangirled a show a lot like that a few years ago on UPN and it got CANCELED."

*sigh*

I, personally, am always looking forward to NBC's new shoes. I hope they're comfy.

Yeah, but "Chuck" has the hotness of Adam Baldwin going for it, so maybe it'll make it, I dunno, five episodes?

All I have to say is if they're really doing a show like that, it had better me equal to or greater Jake 2.0 and then NOT DIE.

Also, did you hear about the extra Heroes stories they're doing next year? *bounce*

The hell? That's plagiarism, isn't it?

If NBC thinks they can cancel Crossing Jordan and replace it with a cheap rip-off of Jake 2.0, they've got another think coming. Argh.

But... but... Jake 2.0 was good! And now they're, what, making a different, probably crappier, version?

*glares*

You know, it does sound suspiciously familiar. *sigh* I hate when bad fanfic becomes tv.

I am still pissed about Jake 2.0's cancellation.

TV sucks. Argh.

Jake 2.0. It was totally awesome, and the guy who's playing Henry on Ugly Betty now was the lead. :)

Ah. Ive heard of it. I always thought it was a sci-fi station show though.

Nah, it probably would have survived if it had been. It does give those of us who fangirled that and now watch Ugly Betty a distinct disadvantage, though, in the sense that everybody else may think Henry's adorable but if Christopher Gorham's kept up his exercise regime he's fucking RIPPED under those button-down shirts.

Dude, the first thing that made me think of wasn't Jake 2.0, cause I never watched it, but Nowhere Man, with Bruce Greenwood.

Shouldn't they be calling it "Chuck 2.0"???

Also, shouldn't someone be getting royalties for this????

I wonder who will be Louise Beckett's character.
