... if I'm in a chat with a support tech for my laptop for the third time in as many days?

*headdesk*

This is a psychological experiment, right? Screw with everything I really kind of need and see how long it takes me to go insane? Because right now my fridge, MP3 player, phone, laptop and desktop all have something wrong with them. Oh, and the cat, who got a cut in front of his ear from something and scratched at it so much it's now a big old scratched-up patch of skin.

And the television needs to stop taunting me with iPhones I can't afford.

At least I have The Daily Show and strawberry cheesecake ice cream to make me feel better. Okay, somewhat better.

*sigh*

EDIT: *growls* Now I'm going to have to have another chat with yet another tech over my stupid USB ports, because installing the chipset driver didn't work. ARGH.

Okay, you know what? Ice cream first, frustration later.

Have you considered that you might have something wrong with your electricity? Maybe you're getting power surges? Do you have any sort of surge protectors? You might consider asking the electric company to come out and test your lines (or have the landlord do it).

I only mention this because I once had a bad plug that destroyed a computer and anything I plugged into it.
