I went to the Transformers movie.
Jul. 4th, 2007 06:59 pmOkay, look, I only need two things from a Transformers movie:
1. Optimus Prime needs to KICK FUCKING ASS.
2. Lots of shit needs to blow right the hell up.
Check, and double-check. \o/
Seriously, I spent the entire movie trying to restrain my squealing because I played with my Transformers way more than I ever played with my Barbies. (I mostly ran those over with my Tonka trucks. Heh.) And I swear the entire audience was just dying for Optimus Prime to show up. A movie about the Transformers should just not have been that much fun at ALL.
*goes back to trying in vain to restrain my spazzing*

Date: 2007-07-04 11:18 pm (UTC)1) Bumblebee. He is the car every teenage girl needs to have. And some middleaged ones, too. Okay, me.
2) "Can I ride you home? I mean...."
3) "The parents are annoying. Can I eliminate them?"
4) Hiding under the coffee table in an "earthquake" without spilling a drop of the wine, even though you're pretty much wasted.
5) "Disgusting!" *flick*

Date: 2007-07-04 11:26 pm (UTC)M and I were trying to remember the first song, about giving her a ride, and we totally blanked. We got the other two, "Sexual Healing" (HEE!) and "Baby Come Back" *dies* but I can't remember the first one....

Date: 2007-07-04 11:34 pm (UTC)Agent Megatron of Rivendell ripped Jazz in half. This is my sad face. T_T
Also, is it just me, or was Bumblebee cooler before he upgraded to the newer model of car? I totally want one. An old beat-up one. With a "BEE-YOTCH" and disco ball on the rear view. Right now.

I have to make SOME icon from this movie, I just haven't decided if it's gonna be Shia or one of the 'Bots.

Date: 2007-07-05 01:48 am (UTC)(Honestly, considering what he did to Pearl Harbor, I'd prefer Michael Bay never touch anything with an in-depth plot or intricate characters ever again. He does damn fine with action sequences but is crap at anything remotely resembling decent writing.)

Date: 2007-07-05 02:09 am (UTC)And yeah, Bay does amazing action sequences. I was happy that he laid off the uber slow-mo thing than in the past. I was waiting the whole time for one of those epic pans in slow motion that showed something getting the shit blown out of it. I was not disappointed :P

Date: 2007-07-05 03:11 am (UTC)I loved it. I'm a collector, I have almost all of the movie toys already. Can't wait for the next one. More Bumblebee. More Barricade. Plus, hey, Starscream survived, of course he's going to try to take over the Decepticons, and fail miserably.
Oh... ummm... SPOILER ALERT! Sorry.
