I haven't bought a copy of DH.

I can barely afford to buy groceries this week.

In fact, it'll be a miracle if I make it to Wincon at this rate.

... on the other hand, I have a gigantic lollipop, so I've got that going for me.

As horrible as this sounds it's nice to have someone else on my FList who has money problems too. It makes me feel like less of a freak when people are talking about spending twenty bucks on a book I downloaded for free or taking vacations to other countries while my apartment tries to figure out how much money we have left for food after bills are paid.

Dude, seriously, tell me about it. I shouldn't even have gone to Philly the other day, that's for damn sure, since it ended with me spending money I probably could have put towards Wincon, but I just needed to get away from the house so damn badly it was ridiculous.

Oh man, I totally get it. Me and Phil got to see Harry Potter and Transformers the other day because some guy at his work gave him a giftcard. That was literally the first time I'd been out of here in a month (not counting grocery shopping).

Steal it from the interwebs? It's not worth paying for.

You have my sympathy. I haven't got DH either, but for ENTIRELY different reasons. I hope your monetary issues sort themselves out!

Do enjoy the gigantic lollipop!

(P.S., it's expensive over here too, but the supermarkets are selling it cheap. That's my temptation. Do I wade five miles to pay a fiver?!)

I completely understand your financial woes. I just got paid and it's almost all going to bills. The only positive thing is that I haven't read the first 6 Harry Potter books, so I don't feel left out from that frenzy, but I have been thinking about going to get the first one so I can read what everybody is all in a tizzy about even though I know I shouldn't. That 10 buck will come in handy later. And I desperately need a hair cut.

But you MUST come to Wincon! *weeps* You MUST!

*sighs* As someone who hasn't worked in four months, however, I DO totally get money woes. I...will just be sad.

I want to SOOOO bad, but I was also counting on the overtime we had pretty much every week last summer that we just haven't this year. *sigh* Heck, last year I bought a laptop AND paid for Wincon and this year I'm barely scraping by. It's ridiculous.

Maybe I could mail myself there. :)

I was going to ask my parents if they could at least buy me the plane ticket for my birthday (and maybe even Christmas combined with it, too) so at least I don't have to worry about that and I can focus on just paying for food and my part of the hotel room, but I feel really guilty about it because I know damn well I'm probably not going to be able to spend much on Christmas presents this year, either.

It's just ... I mean, Los Angeles. *whimpers* I want to go to California more than anything because I've never been and I just want to see it one freakin' time and if I can't go I'm going to take those days off anyway and ... I don't know, sit home and hug my cat or something.

Yeah. That's kind of how I ended up in California in the first place: I had the opportunity and I thought, well, I've never been there. And now it's three years later. LOL. But money's a stone bitch when it just ISN'T THERE.

I really do hope it happens, though. And if not...well, we'll just have to drunk dial you a lot. :D

I understand money issues. I put my copy on a credit card when I knew DAMN WELL that I shouldn't b/c I have less than $60 to last me till next pay day. *le sigh* I am stupid beyond measure on a regular basis.

If you want, I can send you my copy. Finished it a little bit ago and wouldn't mind passing it on. Just let me know. ;)

Also, do you still need HP? I have a pdf and the audiobook on mp3. Hit me up, girl.
