I give up on worrying about money.

So, the current status on the FedEx Claims Bozos.

I call them to harrass them in a bitchy fashion ask them politely if they received and have begun to process my claim forms, and, hey! Guess what? As far as they know, they never received my claim forms! And I only had to tell them three times that my mom faxed them in yesterday. *eye roll*

I will admit, however, that FedEx Claims Bozo #1 sounded genuinely sympathetic that my laptop broke. Bozo #2, not so much, but if he had been a bastard about taking down my information again I would have unleashed the bitch and let loose on his ass.

Livid does not even begin to describe how I feel about this whole situation. I'm either getting a fixed laptop or a new one out of this whole thing -- end of story.

EDIT: I just started reading this New York Times article on one of Bush's ancestors and squealed when I read the following line: A bookish child, he read so much that he frightened his parents. Oh, man, I would LOVE to be described like that, except that my parents were positively gleeful that I read so damn much as a kid. As my dad said to my grandfather they used to just hand me a book and I'd go sit in a corner and read quietly for three hours, so it was really easy to get rid of me. ;)
