I just did this in the name of plotting all of the books I've got planned.

1. Taped a long piece of brown shipping paper on the door to my living room.
2. Labeled a bunch of sandwich baggies with the names of each book.
3. Taped the baggies onto the paper in nice neat rows.

This way I can write scenes at random -- REALLY random -- and just drop them into the correct baggie as I come up with them. Man, I hope no one comes over to my apartment right now so I don't have to explain this to normal people. Heh. :)

And now I really want a cherry limeade Slushy. *sigh*

EDIT: You know, I was looking out the window just now and saw another person in Crocs, and I know they're comfy as hell but there's a part of me that's sworn never to wear them because they look so much like that and not a damn thing like this.

Yeah, see, like that! I need tiny, tiny little ones for my tiny, tiny feet. Even if they fit me the regular ones everybody wears are going to make me look like a clown.

Not like I can afford them anyway, but still.

I'm a big fan of Crocs, but then I'm a clog-wearer since the early 70s. I also love the vivid colors. (I have a whole collection of red shoes.) Comfort is nice, but it's not why I love them.

That is an awesome way to organize your writing. I applaud you.

I taped about 70 index cards with the Rules of Professional Conduct printed on them to my study door the week of my last legal exam. Doors are good for that - lots of blank vertical/horizontal space, and the paint probably won't come off with the tape.

On the other hand, if you forget to take them down, you're sure to confuse the hell out of the cable repairman when he comes strolling in the front door. Just a thought.

You know what also works? Shoeboxes and index cards. *nods* I did that back in the day when I didn't have a computer - now I hate writing longhand b/c I can't read my own scribble. :D

HEE. I was going to try boxes, but I didn't have enough of them to do it. The baggies I have plenty of. :)
