Tonight's Jake 2.0
Nov. 19th, 2003 10:12 pmI love Jake. I love Diane and Louise and Kyle, especially when he's trying to get laid. Dear prancing Jesus in a frilly apron and hard hat, if someone would do me the favor of pureeing all of their DNA into one ubercool cocktail and whipping it into several dozen kick-ass special agent zygotes, I will do my civic duty and bear those little bastards, all at the same bloody time.
...
Love this episode? Why, yes. Yes, I did. ;)
First off, I was dying laughing for most of the episode. Kyle calling Jake for "back-up"? I was on the floor. It was that bad. The humor in this episode was not only dead hysterical, but it was so on target for each of the characters.
The sex talk ... oh, good Lord, the sex talk. *giggles for ten minutes* "What's Jake up to?" *snerk*
Oh, and the getting laid. Go, Jake! Granted, it wasn't with Diane, but I actually liked Angela, and damn it, at least she's not Sarah.
Sarah! I forgot about Sarah. This is two in a row without that vacuous blond pile of suck. Tell me she wasn't in the credits today and I'll be a happy, happy camper tonight. (I know she probably was, but I missed the credits and heck, I'm optimistic.
And SuperBitch, that judge? Love her. Ooo, do I love her. Smart, ruthless, and knows when to quit and when to cut out someone's tongue. Santa, if I'm good, can she come back every so often?
"Can we drink while on duty?"
"No, but we're going to start."
I said I love Louise, right? She may be yet another Get Out of Heterosexuality Free card for me.
Jake at the trial, all pissed off and calling the shots and showing the panel that he is truly a soldier ... *happy sighs* There are reasons that I love this character that go far beyond the fact that Chris is Of The Sexy.
And no episode would be totally complete unless they start stripping down Jake. And isn't it great that right after Chris makes the 20 Sexiest Men in Science Fiction list, they not only get him down to his bare chest in two scenes, in another, he's only in boxers --
....
I'm sorry, I passed out in a puddle of my own drool for ten minutes. What was I saying?

Date: 2003-11-19 08:03 pm (UTC)I think I may be deprived of next week's episode due to Thanksgiving travel. *whimper* Jake 2.0 and Queer Eye have become the two TV shows I can't live without.
