You ever have one of those moments where you're standing in a group of people your age or older and suddenly realize that you're the smartest person in the group? And not in a happy proud, "Yay!" way, but in a, "Oh, God, I'm in charge and I don't even know it, aren't I?" way.

I had one of those last night. You know what? They're not fun.

Also, it says something about me that I got my library cards reinstated for the two closest counties and the first books I took out were books on disasters. Heh.

I hate that. Even at school, I feel that way sometimes because I don't really go to the best school even though I know I could do better. It's just terrible because I hate being in charge, but I can't stand having people who don't know what they're doing in charge, either. Hmph.

I have to say, they're only not fun if you're intent upon using your powers for good, offending the least amount of people, and not for personal advancement. If none of those apply, and you're confident in your acting abilities, you could have quite a great deal of fun.

However, you'd probably still be terribly unfulfilled, so yeah- definitely wishing you good luck with the school thing.

Been there, done that; at the summer job I worked about two years ago, I told everyone I worked with this one joke, and only one person got it, and only after I told it to him three times.

The Joke?

Me: "What's green and invisible?"
Him: "I dunno, what?"
Me: *holds out empty hand* "This cabbage!" *laughs hysterically*
Him: *blank look* "I don't get it..."

Seriously. Try explaining the metaphorical idea of a nonexistant cabbage to one of your coworkers sometime and watch their eyes go all glazed as their brains drip out their ears. It's kinda mean and kinda fun.
