Yay! They're taking nominations for Yuletide fandoms! *twirls*

I really have to make a list for my own personal reminder as to what I want this year. *rubs hands together in anticipation*

The fandoms I nominated:

The 4400

Because I want to ask for Marco fic SO MUCH right now. I mean, I always do -- Marco's my favorite, and he's such a hot dork it's incredible -- but now he can teleport which is just about my favorite superpower on the planet and my favorite character on the show has it and I'm dying for fic now where he plays with the ability. *flails* (And before anybody asks, I know what happened in the finale but haven't watched yet. I'm still torrenting, so gimme a few hours for reaction other than HOT DORK CAN TELEPORT \O/. :))

Jane Austen -- Pride and Prejudice

I still have to read the book -- yes, I KNOW -- because I really want to be able to make sure that I can get exactly what I want, which is fic set twenty or thirty years down the line where Lydia is stuck with Wickham and he sucks and she's totally miserable. Because I hate her a LOT. And if it won't work with the book, then I'll go with miniseries- or movieverse fic. Fuck it.

The Long Kiss Goodnight

I want fic set twenty years down the line where Caitlin Caine grows up and becomes a spy/assassin/whatever. With or without knowing what her mother and birth father used to do for a living, I'm not picky, but YES. Plus, HA. Raised in Honesdale, PA. If there's one thing about that movie that makes me laugh, that's it. :)

My Secret Identity

I've been wanting Yuletide fic for a couple of years now where Andrew grows up and goes off to college and gets a good job somewhere, and has a normal life at the same time that he's trying to be a superhero in the real world where superheroes just aren't real. It pings so many of my kinks.

Pushing Daisies

Well, REALLY. I want Chuck fic. I want nice, long plotty Chuck fic like burning.

I also want to worship at the altar of Chuck and sign on for the sacred Chuckzilla miniature village stomping every Saturday, but ... you know.

The Replacements (movie)

I'm going to continue to request Brian/Dawn (the deaf quarterback/brainless blond stripper) fic until the day I die. Wheeee. :)

Of course, I list all of those knowing full well they'll probably all change tomorrow. Heh.

Having read the book a LOT of times, I can tell you that fits right on!

I just ... there are fewer characters I hate more than Lydia Bennet. I mean, I know she's a teenage girl but she's such a teenage girl it reminds me how much I sometimes HAAAAATE teenage girls. I just keep thinking about her twenty years down the line, when Bingley and Jane are all cute and adorable together, and Darcy and Elizabeth are all cool and snarky together, aaaaaand then there's Wickham and Lydia, who are just dreadful, I just keep picturing them with some sensible, awesome kid who keeps going over to the Darcy home and bitching to his aunt, "Dude, I don't even know." Except, you know, with more "thither." ;)

My Secret Identity was this show that was on in, like, the early 1990s, where post-Stand By Me still-kinda-pudgy Jerry O'Connell played this comic book geek who gets hit by a laser by his scientist next-door-neighbor and develops superpowers. It was kinda cheesy and bad, but I loved it to pieces, and it's like every other superpowered-kid show I watch where what I really want afterwards is grown-up-superpowered-kid-disillusioned-by-the-romanticized-power fic.

My hatred for Lydia paled in comparison to how I felt about her mother. God, she was such a... I've always felt the miniseries and the movies don't make her justice. She's just so incredible awful. But yes, Lydia and Wickham are quite the pair. Lydia is not just a teenage girl, she is THE awful teenage girl who in the modern world would wear sparkly pink miniskirts and have a white fluff minidog in her purse.
I've always wanted to either write or read a fic with Lydia finding out about her sister's earlier interest in Wickham and tormenting Darcy with all kinds of made up gossip just for fun. It would be a lot like her to do that.
The Wickhams having a snarky and bright kid would be very awesome indeed. Darcy and Elizabeth could be his godparents, and he would always be running away from his home, and Lydia would be this really, really bad mother who actually just uses the boy to get money from the Darcys. She wouldn't abuse him or anything, just... wouldn't care about him at all.

That sound? The plotbunnies attacking. Oh, and they are vicious.

I know! I watched the finale a little while ago and he's so damn happy about it. He realizes he's in Promise City and he's got this look on his face like, "Wow, COOL!" Damn straight. :)

*happy sigh* I just watched the finale again and I know the rest of the season was iffy at times but ... but ... oh, man. *flails* I want another season SO BAD now. Abilities all over NTAC! Seattle's Promise City! HOT DORK CAN TELEPORT! \o/

The rest of the season was very iffy. I almost stopped watching.

...but I'm so glad I didn't. The finale was awesome. All the abilities! Even if Diana can't ever have one.

The only reason I'll stop jumping up and down about it is because the Petrellis are back on my screen in less than a week

Oh, I did stop watching. I was kind of casually following along and completely forgot this was the season finale, and then I read a reaction post and was like, "Wait, what?! *bounces off to torrent*"

I was painfully reminded how much I hated Isabelle -- not because of the character, but because of the acting ... oh, Megalyn's awful, terrible, no-good, very-bad acting -- but I had Shawn's angst to fall back on. Oh, Shawn. *hugs him*

And! And! Tom had better take that damn shot. He'd better take that shot RIGHT NOW. I feel really bad about Diana not getting powers (damn it), but on the other hand, Meghan and Garrity and other Garrity (heh) and Marco, oh my!

I didn't stop watching. Probably because I was at home and my father was still watching every week. Not like I had anything better to do.

Is it bad I honestly hope Isabelle is really dead just because I don't want to listen to Megalyn speak ever again? Yeah, probably. But damn it, it makes me happy.

Speaking of Shawn angst, oh my god is he going to be angst-ridden next season, or what? Kyle, Tom, and Shawn are going to try to be a family!

Meghan's power is amazing. So is Marco's. And WTF at Garrity's. Heh.

I know. New shows should be starting RIGHT THIS SECOND. I have one more summer finale (Burn Notice, tomorrow), and then the new TV season is HERE!

I was watching Megalyn "sexily" stomp into the Marked house in her ugly-as-sin espadrilles and thinking, "Die now! No, die now! No, okay, die NOW!" Heh. :)

And what the hell was with the hair-tossing? All this hair-tossing at the weirdest moments. "*kiss* *hairtoss* Goodbye, Kyle. *another hairtoss* *more 'sexy' stomping*" Yes, Megalyn, you have long hair. I GET IT.

In the defense of long hair, I do flip it a lot, but that's usually trying to get it the hell out of my face.

Somehow I doubt superpowered Isabelle has that problem.

But she's dead now. I think she might even really be dead. There's nothing left for her character anymore, considering they finally told us where the hell she came from.

What? It will end well. That family has the best luck ever.

You know what? Those three should get together with Matt Parkman and figure out who has the worst luck ever.

Oh, yeah, I miss having long enough hair to toss. Of course, I don't think you do that thing Megalyn does with her head anymore than I ever did. There's getting it out of your eyes and then there's tempting a dislocated neck. The way she does it is just weird. (Of course, that word could pretty much anything she does ever, but still.)

How much you want to bet that in the future people read biographies of the Farrells/Baldwins so that they can think, "Hey, at least we don't have it THAT bad"?

True. She must flip her hair naturally, which is strange. Do you think she flips her hair like that when she's out in the street, or is she just such a horrible actress that she freaks out when she has to do it on camera? I wonder. I'm going to go for the former, just because I hope I bump into her and see her head almost fall off.

I wonder how that conversation would go.

Yeah, that's one of the things I didn't like this season. She and Tom were so adorable together, and now it's, "Alana? Alana who?" *sigh*
