-- Oh, hey, the novocaine's started to wear off. *winces* Yeah, I may need those painkillers after all. The dentist almost prescribed me Vicodin, but after I told the assistant that I've taken half a Vicodin on two separate occasions and spent the next four hours after both doses in the bathroom puking my guts up, they just gave me Tylenol #3 which should be enough. (Is it wrong that I'm glad I've finally found something I'm probably allergic to? I've never been allergic to anything before. Heh.)

-- Shrute Farms on Trip Advisor. HA! It's in Honesdale. I wish I could say that just makes me giggle because I was born in Honesdale, but instead all it makes me think is that it gives the farm a scary sense of realism. (No, seriously, I had friends in high school who lived up near there and I wouldn't be all that surprised to find that farm out there.)

-- If it weren't for the fact that it's Monday and I have yet to sit down and watch my Monday night shows yet this season, I would totally be going to the movies tonight. Although it's probably a good thing that I'm not going because it's just not the movies without popcorn and tonight it's soft food and iced tea for my poor mouth. Mmm, Turkey Hill lemonade tea. *chugs*

-- My brother and I have a Christmas tradition where instead of waiting until Christmas to give each other gifts we just tell each other exactly what we want and give them to each other early so we have something to tide us over until then. (Yes, we're spoiled. Heh.) This year Bryan asked me for Guitar Hero III and the appropriate bundle which ... great, I can totally afford that. *sigh* (Well, I can, but it just means less money for my room redecorating for a while.) So since I'm spending so much money on him I asked him for a gift certificate for a tattoo parlor, and to hint to Mom and Dad that maybe if they wanted to chip in they could. And I already asked my mom to draw me a few Siamese cats because I have yet to find one that I really want to use for my tattoo (and dude, I've been looking for years) and I figure maybe she'll feel better about me getting another one if she's the one who designs it. Hey, it could happen. :)

-- I should probably clean the apartment while I'm home. And plan out my NaNo. And finish my smut.

-- Speaking of smut, no Luke/Noah today. DAMN IT.

Vomiting usually isn't a sign of an allergic reaction. Narcotics tend to upset your stomach. It falls into the "side effect" catagory. Try eating beforehand; it will help.

I'm just the opposite; they give me vicodin for everything because I can't take codeine; including Tylenol #3.

"number one beet-related agrotourism destination in Northeastern Pennsylvania"

There's more than one "beet related agrotourism destination" in the world?

I did eat beforehand. Always do, since inevitably I end up having to take triple the dosage of every drug I get handed just to feel an impact. I still ended up in the bathroom at work for four straight hours both times, to the point where now even my boss takes one look at me when I look physically ill and says, "You haven't taken Vicodin, have you?"

hmmm... When I had my wisdom tooth pulled several years ago, my dentist gave me prescriptions for Codine and Vicodin... Don't know why I needed both, but that's what she gave me. But in addition to the prescription for Vicodin, she gave me another one for anti-nausea medication. She said that Vicodin can make a lot of people puke, if they're sensitive to it, and that the anti-nausea meds would counter-act that effect. I didn't seem to have any trouble with the Vicodin, but when my brother busted his knee snow-boarding a few months later, I gave him my left-over anti-nausea stuff because he had the same reaction to Vicodin that you did and it really helped him.

I hope you feel better soon, and enjoy your Monday night shows! :D

Oh, but Vicodin is so, so amazing. I'm truly sorry that you can't take it...that whole puking out your guts thing is not fun.

Not that I'm a druggie or anything. It was valid post-surgery medicine. But honestly, it just takes care of everything. :P

Never had Tylenol #3; why is it so special?

So I don't have any idea why on earth this happened, but I had a long and involved dream last night, the only part of which I really remember was that I was supposed to meet you.
