I'm starting to get a little less annoyed with Morgan because for all that he can be a righteous schmuck sometimes, he really does have Chuck's best interest at heart, much like Ellie and even Awesome. They have their little family together and their Mother's Day that's not quite Mother's Day but is so much better, and I just. I love the dynamic between them all, that they all kind of love each other bunches, and their conflicts don't come from treating each other like dicks but because they're just ... you know, human.
No Awesome, though. Aw. :(
Also, the Enter the Dragon talk was funnier in retrospect later on. Mei Ling ... heh. And oh, God, tell me there was a Big Trouble In Little China reference in there somewhere because by God there should have been.

Okay, so!
-- My spoilery theory is probably wrong, but I could have sworn that place is where I thought it was. As in, not in Montreal. But we'll see. *beams*
-- Micah and Monica together make me giddy beyond all reason, they really do. They're just so happy to have powers, on some level, and it's great to see people have fun with their powers for once. Aside from Hiro, so few of them ever have fun with their abilities.
Oh, oh! And now that I think about it, if Monica can learn how to do anything as long as she sees it happening she's practically as dangerous as Peter could be in a fight. Maybe more so, if she can learn how to do other people's powers if she sees them, although I don't see a limitation to that.
-- Well, I don't hate Kristen Bell's character, so there's that. Although, she killed poor cute Caitlin's brother! Awww. And I know it's pretty much unanimous at this point that the theory is that Bob is Daddy, but I don't know. It just strikes me as too obvious, although it doesn't surprise me that her dad is involved with the Company or whatever. I mean, really, just because she says she's with "a company" doesn't mean she's telling the truth, or even that she's with THE Company. It does strike me as odd, though, that Peter arrives in Cork shooting lightning from his hands and suffering from amnesia, Kristen Bell shows up shooting lightning from her hands and saying she's with the Company, the Haitian was working for Mama Petrelli last season, and I have yet to see anyone propose the theory that following the non-explosion Mama Petrelli got the absent Haitian to wipe Peter's memory so he wouldn't swim in his own guilt and make Peter disappear. It's right there.
Again, probably wrong, but what the hell?
-- Oh, Niki. We couldn't have had this storyline done and over with? I thought Niki and Jessica made a decision to get along. *eye roll* Faaaabulous. Well, at least she's not trying to get her strength zapped.
-- Okay, I could seriously watch Nathan and Matt together all damn day. Let's just do an entire episode where Nathan and Matt chase down the people in the photo, and Matt spends a lot of time trying to be cop-intimidating and failing just a smidge, and Nathan makes up for that smidge by unloading shotguns and punching things and making snarky commentary about Mattand his hot Indian domestic partner.
-- Speaking of Mohinder, YOU IDIOT. Okay, make up your mind. The Company is bad. The Company is good. The Company shouldn't be allowed to touch Molly with a ten-foot pole. The Company can totally take care of Molly, and fix everything that Matt's dad broke, and Bob can dress up like a clown and make balloon animals for her. You're going to help Niki escape because the Company does awful things to heroes. You're going to go down to New Orleans and poke Monica with needles full of So Not The Legacy Virus because the Company is awesome and throws birthday parties for its employees and gives you free movie tickets and a cape if you work on Christm-- NO, SERIOUSLY, MOHINDER, IS YOUR BRAIN DRIBBLING OUT OF YOUR EARS?!
-- And I almost forgot ... it's been four months since the end of last season and probably a good six months since Isaac's death. Which leads me to what I was wondering when Micah pulled out the St. Joan comic -- is that a new one? And if so, where did they get the art for it? And if not, was that one of the ones Micah showed DL last season? 'Cause that would be awesome.

Zach knows! He saw Daddy use his magic! That makes me strangely gleeful, because Katie's right - the kid's seven, for crying out loud, all you have to do is tell him, "Sometimes Daddy goes back in time even though he doesn't want to, so that's why I might not be around sometimes, okay?" The kid'll figure it out.
Also, Tom Baldwin is Dan's dad! When fandoms collide, y'all.

Okay, I am now off to dope myself up and write more smut. You know, unless I fall asleep in my chair.

Date: 2007-10-23 04:30 am (UTC)I loved the way Zach found out. In fact, I loved the way Katie found out/was persuaded to believe the truth, too; thus far, this show has earned tonnes of points with me by making the reveals happen in ways that make sense and don't prolong needless angst and subterfuge. (Although, given that they've been postponing it, I am now expecting them to rock my stockings with the way Dan's brother finally finds out. They've raised my expectations!)

Date: 2007-10-23 04:42 am (UTC)And you're right -- now Dan's brother needs to find out. I really think eventually he's going to stumble over evidence of Dan in the past looking way older than he's supposed to be, like a photo at a crime scene or something.
(Yay! There's so few others watching. It's so sad.)

Date: 2007-10-23 04:40 am (UTC)I'd imagine the turn-around time for a comic is quite sometime. The prints Issac turned in were in black and white, so they'd have to get colored and have the text written and get published and sent out. I'd imagine it would easily be possible for Issac's work to still be issued for several months after his death.
I honestly have no idea, but it seems possible.

If only there could be a decent way to make an icon of a girl who learns Bruce Lee, tomato carving, double-dutch, and the 6-1-9, I would definitely do it.
Heroes ramble
Date: 2007-10-23 10:44 am (UTC)We know that Peter has met the new girl before (sparky!). I hope she's not Bob's daughter. I really love this show, but sometimes the plot 'twists' are so LAME.
Niki wants to be cured, but Jessica won't survive the process. Technically, Niki has kidnapped Jessica and is trying to kill her. *I* would be pretty pissed about that.
There's got to be Sylar/Mohinder/Matt/Nathan porn at some point. I mean... God damn, the writers HAVE to be geeks, so SOMEONE has to know about fanfic. Are they *trying* to make our heads explode?!
Also, Mohinder is sort of pissing me off for the same reasons you mentioned.
IIRC, Isaac gave a courier his drawings for the last issue right before he died. I'm sure it takes months to get all the coloring, lettering, editing, and printing done.

Date: 2007-10-23 10:54 am (UTC)I figured that she was doing the same thing Mohinder was - trying to infiltrate the company to gut the bastards. The significant look she shot Suresh read to me like "No, you dumbass, I'm here to cover your ass."
and Bob can dress up like a clown and make balloon animals for her
Gee, thanks. I'm going to have nightmares about that. Aaaaanndd, I'm going to see Gacy's face superimposed on Bob from now on. ::shudders::

Date: 2007-10-23 02:04 pm (UTC)They are so my very favorite at the moment; somehow having Matt to snark at pulls Nathan out of his "my life is so hard WOE" face and it's just golden. It's kind of like last season, how Hiro always made him go just a little goofy and drop his Politician face - things that make Nathan be more Nathan than he wants to be are ::thumbs up::

Date: 2007-10-23 06:09 pm (UTC)And Micah and Monica! Made of Win! Yes yes.
Peter's wibbling about not wanting to know his past made me want to slap *him*, and omg, when did Nathan get so fucking hot?
*fans self*
I'm really, really, really happy that Zach knows. That's the best *ever*. And he brought Zach's hat through with him - i wonder if he could bring a *person* through with him...

LOL - I just left a comment to this effect in your previous post. Hee! My intuition is that she shouldn't be able to mimic most powers - I'm thinking that the "muscle-memory" thing is really literal. I think she needs to be able to perceive how something is physically being done? ... um. Given that Sylar's power is at least partly the ability to perceive how things work, OMG, he needs to not eat Monica. *whimpers*
And I am right there with you about Bob not being Kristen Bell's character's daddy - there were several other people in that photo. (I also enjoy the theory that it might be Mr. Petrelli, who maybe faked his own death? Petrellis-a-go-go!) And there's a whooooole lot of wiggle room between where we last saw the Haitian and his being back in Haiti all sick. Where DID he pick up the virus?
