apocalypsos-- One of my parents' friends passed away today of throat cancer. It's been coming for a while, so at least he's not in pain anymore, thank God. The last time I saw him in August he'd already dropped something like thirty pounds and didn't look so good. He owned a car dealership and garage, and he had these great classic cars that he'd fixed up and drive around in the summers. It's going to be sad not seeing him at parties and holidays and things.
-- Fandom continues to give me a headache. *sigh* Maybe if I were into bandom at all I'd be a happier camper fandomwise, since everybody in bandom appears to squee at the drop of a hat these days. (This is not your cue to pimp bandom to me. I've had it pimped to me multiple times and I'm still not interested. And no, seriously, THAT is not your cue to pimp it to me either.)
-- Why do I keep flipping on Trauma: Life In The ER? I turned it on before just in time to see some guy with his ear ripped almost all the way off. GAH.
-- My brother called me before when I was bored because HE was bored, so he let me explain to him why the writers were striking. Heh.
-- I need a nap. Which is great, because I have to leave for work in twenty minutes. *sigh*
-- I'm going to smack the internet around with a shovel.
-- I think I need a vacation, which of course I'm not going to get, just so that my skull doesn't explode from stress or something. I'd say I need to go on a cruise like my parents did, but I don't really think I need to go on THAT cruise, where you miss the boat and then have to come home early because of a hurricane and then somewhere in the middle an ocelot bites your hand.
-- The worst thing about my job -- aside from, you know, everything -- is that now when those annoying Christian music compilation commercials come on TV I recognize most of the bands as CDs I've made. Urgh.
