Oh, hey, so guess what I just did?

apocalypsosI just finished the first draft of the first chapter of Pocket Door, that's what.

I'm trying to be optimistic about the whole thing, because at least it's the start of another original novel, you know? And okay, it's a little all over the place, and I don't really have the mythology or a plot or anything sketched out, and I was kinda just trying to get an image out of my head and go from there, but HEY! Finished chapter! That's one. *checks off on to-do list*
Now all I have to do is finish the first chapter of The Butcher Boys and I will feel even more accomplished, even though it's entirely possible that upon rereading it I will discover that the first chapter of Pocket Door is a great festering pile of suck.

EDIT: Also, dear CNN -- I decided to stop refreshing the Super Tuesday page and go check out something a little less stressful and a little more up my alley, like the crime page.

SUPERDELEGATE OF EDIT: So I'm checking out the list of Launchcast stations to find something to listen to that won't bombard me with country or Miley Cyrus sooner or later, and I see a "Star Wars" channel. And I'm thinking, "It's not really a channel that plays just the Star Wars theme, is it? Wait, is it really?"
Yeah, apparently it is. One channel, just for Star Wars music.
Of course the sad part would be that I'm continuing to listen to it, but let's not dwell.
