-- I can't decide between Jumper or The Spiderwick Chronicles. What I finally did decide on was that regardless of the fact that I'm laid off and probably shouldn't be wasting money, I wasn't all that enamoured with the thought of going to the lame movie theater I have a gift certificate for and instead headed straight for the Cinemark on the mountain. Which means I'm now spending extra cash at the Panera there, which also means I'm currently surrounded by more businessmen than usual. Ick. I feel like such a slacker, you guys. I'm the only one in here other than the mom with the little girl and the student wearing jeans. I like my usual Panera with all of the kids from the mall and the middle-aged women who walk in for the first time all, "Oh, what's this? Ooo, a fireplace!"

-- I'm currently listening to Middle Eastern music on Launchcast. Pretty! I can't understand a word they're saying, but good music all the same.

-- I'm supposed to be writing right now, but I'm horribly behaved so I'm not. *hangs head*

-- Okay, who's writing the fic where the Trickster ends up turning into a sorta-ally with Sam and Dean? Like, he's not their bestest buddy ever, but after the war starts or whatever, he's the only one on their side who's still got a sense of humor, and he and Dean find common ground because they can both be complete goofballs, or something. I DON'T KNOW. I just ... I guess I just want them all to get over their differences and be like a big buddy movie. Okay, so the Trickster would be like the Joe Pesci to their Mel Gibson and Danny Glover. Whatever. (Yes, I realize the Trickster killed Dean, like, a few hundred times over and then made it stick and Sam was very, VERY upset about it. Doesn't make the urge to read it die down any.)

-- Thanks to whoever left me a Valentine at [livejournal.com profile] svmadelyn's thingy. *snuggles you*

-- After that school shooting at NIU, I'm just glad that the few NIU students on my friends list and friends' friends list seem to be present and accounted for. *hugs*

-- Last night's Make Me A Supermodel just goes to prove once again that while the girls may have their unpleasant bitchy moments they do have a point, and that if Ben and Ronnie never make out I can at least take hope in the fact that Perry and Casey are just as likely to stick their tongues in places on each other's bodies they've only licked before when they were in their underwear for a photographer.

I am also sitting here trying to decide between Jumper and Spiderwick. Although Jumper has gotten horrible reviews and Spiderwick pretty decent. But Jumper has Hayden and teleportation in it even if it sucks...so yes very hard decision :(

As for Make Me a Supermodel...I was getting the vibe that Perry's girlfriend was thinking about Casey when she kept saying he was keeping things from her, LOL. Was I wrong? But gosh, Ben and Ronnie need to make out. Now. They are so in love, so much so, that's its impacting poor Ronnie's ability to concentrate. GAH. So cute.

And yes, Trickster ally FTW.

Don't pick Jumper. They butchered the hell out of the book.

You know, the Trickster question reminds me of the Caliban novels by Rob Thurman. She writes about two brothers hunting the supernatural and guess who is their ally? Yup, a Trickster. Puck. Robin Goodfellow or what do you wnat to call him. Nico = Dean, Caliban = Sam, Robin = Trickster.

Thank you.

I think the strangest moment of this whole ordeal was that I checked ONTD last, and there we were. My school was on ONTD.

That's just not right.

Don't go with Jumper. I saw it last night and, commenting as a huge fan of the book, they absolutely vivisected it and threw out all the good parts. It's flashy action-trash, with pretty much nothing worthwhile.

Except Hayden Christiansen's abs, maybe. But even those can't save it from being a rampant crapfest.
