As for Ben, I've never wanted to smack him upside the head as much as I did this episode. Actually I had to plug my ears and not watch him be such a jerk while exchanging vaguely horrified looks with the roommate.

However this didn't stop me from going "oh Ben, I'm sure Ronnie'll tell you you're sexy"

On the one hand, Ben was totally a douche. On the other hand, he acted like every guy I've ever met (sans real connection to the glbtq community) who was on a team he knew was going to lose. *shrugs*

I think he was, honestly, a little shocked to have that sit-down talk and realize he said things that actually affected people's feelings. Sometimes people have to have it smacked into them. He's a prison guard. From Tennessee. I'm pretty sure guys get called "gay" and "girls" around him; he probably calls his friends that in affectionate teasing.

Just .02 from a Kentucky girl. It doesn't make it appropriate, just realistic.

Oh, trust me, I totally get all of that. I still think it may bite him in the ass when elimination rolls around next week. Ronnie forgave him quickly enough, but Bravo's audience is brimming with women and gay men, and they only take votes for so long following the end of the episode while people are still sitting at home going, "God, what an ass!"
