This might be a little difficult.
May. 10th, 2008 11:05 amAnybody know where I can obtain or have a good recommendation for a really ridiculously detailed street map of New York? Not on the Internet. I need a big fold-out map or a poster or something big that I can stick on my wall, and I need it scary-accurate. I want to set a story there, but I have a much easier time of it if I know it well, and the first step for me is usually a really good map. (Which sounds lame, but ... yeah.)
And if anybody's got any suggestions for books or whatever that give you a really good idea of what the city like without getting all touristy, that would help, too. I've been there before but not in, like, ten years.
