You know, for all the Santa cracks everybody's been making that have been getting on metaquotes, this has gotta be confusing for little kids, don't you think?

Some poor kid watching CNN and getting totally the wrong idea ... "Mommy, the army arrested Santa Claus!" *cries her adorable widdle eyes out*

Great, now I have that mental image.

Somewhere out there, some poor, defenseless, sweet, harmless child has had his or her Christmas dreams shattered by Bush and the coalition forces.

...

There. If that won't get people to go back to voting him out next year, I don't know what will. :)

We have an interesting free daily in Toronto that publishes two-day old news taken off the Reuters web site. Today, they were planning for the cover story to be about our new (unelected) prime minister, and it featured a lovely photo-op with Santa.

Of course, they didn't count on the Saddam thing. They remembered to switch the headline, but they sorta forgot to change the picture. Accordingly, there was a big-ass picture of Paul Martin shaking Santa's hand with the headline, "the tyrant is now a prisoner."
