Also, I just realized that I didn't take the two old TVs and my desktop up to my parents' house to be put out for the bulk trash pickup tomorrow because my side hurt so much I was too busy lying on the couch with a bag of freezer pops wrapped up in a dishtowel tucked against the left side of my torso. (Yes, I know, I had no ice cubes so I had to work with what I did have.)

And before anybody says anything ... yes, yes, I'm going to go to the hospital if it keeps being this bad.

He's dragging his butt across the carpet, which is generally an indicator that he, uh, needs his anal glands expressed. So basically this is all her fault for not getting him groomed properly, but she's freaking out like he's just being bad for the hell of it. Sorry, I hate this commercial and I'm surprised they managed to make it worse.

Yeah, it was bad enough it was just her freaking out at the dog, but now there's a guest over and somehow that makes it even worse. (My mom would be appalled if she were over someone's house and this happened -- at the hostess, not the dog.)

Yeah, and I wonder why they even felt it was necessary -- did they think people weren't hit viscerally enough by the image of a dog dragging its butt across the carpet? They had to add a guest to the mix to truly underline the horror?

And for added fun when her kid's yelling for her attention she completely ignores him until he shows up in the room. Nice.

I suppose it'd be crass to point out that if she wanted to have pets AND her carpet to come out closer to unscathed, a darker color might be a better idea.
