John McCain wants to kill me.

He doesn't know who I am, has never met me, and has probably never heard my name. Nonetheless, he wants to kill me.

I couldn't resist the new tag. I'm debating what to use for Obama stuff, but "PHILF" is the only one I like so far which really makes me feel weird. (The first two letters stand for "Presidential hopeful." I'm pretty sure you can figure out the other three. :))

I was trying to work that out in my head before you clarified "presidential hopeful":

Me: Presidential hottie? No, that can't be right...

sure it might look good on paper, but you pronounce 'PHILF' and some will get a laugh. granted, if you made it like that on purpose, thats a different story all together, haha.

Worth noting she does have an LJ as well, and is looking for someone to (literally) donate a kidney (B pos).

Thanks for the link. If this doesn't convince my grandparents to vote for Obama, nothing will.

I'm going to enjoy voting against McCain so much.

It's a little misleading. I'm still trying to understand the proposed reforms in their entirety, but both parties are offering plans that are basically designed to kill the current system based on employment-dependent insurance.

ESRD specifically has been a bone of contention throughout the recent years, because Medicare is running out of money.

Basically Republicans are pushing the idea of extending the current 30 month period which the patients are supposed to cover through private insurance.

Democrats are proposing to keep it as is, and to pay for it by cutting the funding to another part of the Medicate, the Medicare Advantage plans.

I haven't seen either candidate to opine on it directly though, it's mostly a Congressional fight as far as I know.

Your healthcare system is evil, evil, evil, evil and evil, with some evil sprinkled on top.
