A few things

1. I've seen comments in a couple of places about Gregor's acceptance of Olli and Christian's relationship on Verbotene Liebe was too quick and stress-free, and I'm like, "Seriously?" Gregor's never shown any indication that he's the least bit homophobic. Hell, how many straight guys do you know who wouldn't bat an eye when a guy hit on them? And he likes Olli, for crying out loud. It might have been more dramatic or whatever if he had but it would have been completely out of character with what we've seen so far of him.

2. Oh, yeah, I still haven't put my thoughts about Gossip Girl down.

Yeah, so that was really a lot of cheesy soapy fun right there. I actually liked it better than Reaper, so there's that. Obviously, I have mad love for Chuck first and foremost. I just ... I love him to pieces. He's an irresponsible unapologetic suave douchebag with no morals and I wouldn't have it any other way. And he made me realize something about the douchebags that I do like in fandom -- nearly all of them may be disrespectful and idiotic about how to behave around women, but under it all they do kind of love women to bits. Granted, they usually love them FOR their bits, but still.

So, yes, Chuck is my favorite. Blair is an extremely close second, because like that one article I linked to said, she's not a victim. (Serena is, and dear God, does it annoy the crap out of me sometimes.) She doesn't put up with anybody's shit, which is awesome. I rooted for her every damn time she went up against Jenny, who really bugged me for most of the season until she finally started to act less like a spoiled brat and more like a person. And my third favorite is Eric -- yes, I love the gay boy, and not just because he's snarky and looks fifteen in a show full of people who don't as per usual -- and my fourth favorite is Rufus and Lily, but more as a couple than individually. This sucks. Why can't Serena, Eric and Chuck be step-siblings AND Lily get to marry Rufus? I like Rufus and Lily together, but I also like Chuck transferring his discreetly veiled feelings towards having a family to Serena and Eric. (Especially Eric, even though I've had moments of thinking the two of them should hook up. It's one of the few slash pairings I can't let go of on the show. Gimme a break here.)

Dan is very cute and I'd totally date him in a heartbeat if guys who looked like that had ever hit on me in high school. I was iffy on Nate for a while but the way he dealt with his dad being a ginormous dick got me firmly attached to him. Vanessa ... meh. And I know I'm supposed to hate Georgina but she got a little hard to watch there for a while, even though I'm not a huge Serena fan by any means.

And yeah, Jenny's at the bottom of my list. When she's not trying to grab a foothold in Blair's inner circle she's tolerable, but when she is she drives me up a goddamn wall.

Also, I may be wishing that Rufus strikes it big and gets a huge record deal and makes a comeback and Dan and Jenny suddenly find themselves with bunches and bunches of money at their disposal. Which, yes, defeats their reason for being there, but still.

Oh, and I like the thought of Blair getting Dan involved in her schemes and corrupting the hell out of him, so maybe I'm shipping them a little. Or a lot.

Also, I'm tempted to write Chuck/Blair post-apocalyptic fic. Yeah, welcome to my brain, new fandom. Heh. :)

3. I have yet to watch this week's Doctor Who. First a shower, and then I'm all over it.

4. I started reading that book yesterday at work. Oh, man, it's just as horrible as I remember it. Bwahahahaha. I'll make a post about it later or tomorrow or whenever.

I'm going to end up writing fic where they get together after Lily and Bart inevitably get divorced, I swear. Eric called him first to talk about being outed, for crying out loud.
