I know I'm twisted because today I was walking past the Christian store in the mall and I really, really wished I knew a Solstice carol just to see if I could freak anybody out.

And I don't have time now, but wait until I fill you in on Captain Asshat's day. Oh, boy.

I'd love to know some too, my Nana is right now in her lounge room with her pastor listening to some very nice Anglican thingo on a tape deck and discussing the Hallelujah Corus.
I don't think I could freak out Nana [she seems to be made of cast iron] but the pastor seems Very Nice, although I'd feel guilty as well because he likes the Potter books.

D'oh! Kept forgetting to stick my Xmas songlist up on my LJ to see if anyone wanted any MP3s from me. (One is Wyrd Sisters with "Solstice Carol," though, and it's a lovely song.)

Ah, well. Nothing wrong with taking advantage of post-Xmas sales to make sure you'll have the stuff for next year (the way I pick up a lot of my Xmas cards) -- nothing wrong with downloading Xmas songs to have them next year, either. (Shoot, one of the Mithra pics in this icon was a shot of the statue of Mithra in the British Museum that I took last February with Xmas in mind...)
