... That is mind boggling.

I wonder if he has any other "disbeliefs"? Like spirituality/faith?

(Also, Dear BBC: It's NASA, not Nasa.

...sorry, they've got me editing copy at work, it gets on everything.)

It's a Brit thing. They do "Aids" for "AIDS" as well.

::sigh:: I've heard of them. They display an incredibly massive amount of stupidity. ::headdesk::

To me it just proves that no matter what someone believes, there's someone else out there who just demands to be contrarian.

Ah, the Flat Earth Society! They're amazing. You have to look at their website- at least, if it's the same way it was when I saw it a few years back.

"People are definitely prejudiced against flat-earthers," says John Davis, a flat earth theorist based in Tennessee...

YOU DON'T SAY.

(Sorry, I hate using all-caps and I didn't mean to shout in your journal, but sometimes nothing else suffices, you know?)

flat earther's are actually pretty common. they tend to be part of the 'young earth' and 'creationist' sub-sect, and also interestingly enough, both sets tend to be, if not in bed with, highly intimate with the white power crowd.
oh, and the terran-centric crowd who think that the earth revolving around the sun LIE was the first part of the fall of man.

(the alabama senetor who pushed a motion to have the state 'correct' geography classes based it on a link to the flat earth society, who claim that copernacus was in bed with the grand zionest conspiracy. and that's the most coherent theory in there)

The earth does go around the sun. Observation tells us that.
We just operate from the other perspective because the math is easier.

I'm a part of this 'round-Earth' conspiracy so where's my cut of NASA's take?!

I can't for the life of me figure out why every world government would conspire to make people think the world was round. Why is that conspiracy? What does it accomplish?

Sadly, it's not. I've been hearing about these nutjobs since the nineties.

I heart Bad Religion and I thought I would share their song about the Flat Earth Society...

They're out of their trees, but they're sort of like UFOers, mostly harmless.
