I really can't watch movies like "The Pianist" and "Sound of Music" at the same time. They make me want to go back and relearn the German I learned in college and then promptly forgot a lot of when I left. *sighs*

I learned German in high school. My father and grandmother speak it.
I learned Spanish in college.
Useful leftovers from either: Negligible.
I prefer German to Spanish because it's more fun to say.

Ok, totally off topic from your post, but were you the one on my friends list who wanted to prove you weren't crazy about hearing a Christmas song about marshmallows? If so (and I'm not the insane one) you are right. It's a Dean Martin song on a cd I have called "Dean Marting Making Spirits Bright" and the title is "A Marshmallow world".
