Just got back from going to see "Calendar Girls" ... damn, that was cute. It was also very nice to learn that not only are Helen Mirren and Julie Walters beautiful, smart, talented, elegant, classy and awe-inspiring, but Helen's got a great set of knockers and I hope I have an ass like Julie Walters when I'm her age. (See, the thing that makes that okay is that I didn't say that out loud.)

Oh, and also? *smacks ovaries* Snap out of it!

Is it just me, but is that old wives's tale about a bunch of women living together and getting their period at the same time happening on LJ? 'Cause if so, I can't figure out if that's strangely cool or actually kinda gross.

...

Uh, yeah, definitely gross.

Its true. Something about group hormones. Ok. In all seriousness... is the type of movies guys don't mind seeing because there is female nudity?

Soo weird you said that - I'm def. on the rag right now.

It's not an old wives' tale - I have heard that womens' hormones actually do begin to synchronize when they live together. But the LJ aspect of it, I can't explain. E-Estrogen? :-P

The old-wives tale seems true in real life. And on here as well. -ahem-

Happily, I am not part of your moon-crowd. I am a crowd unto myself, except that I'm sort of synchronized with [livejournal.com profile] votania, except when I'm not.

Uh...guess what happened to me within two hours of reading this post? Strangely cool or kinda gross? I vote kinda gross.

Supposedly, guys did not mind seeming Titanic with their girlfriends because Kate Winslet was topless in the movie. Is this movie the same type?

OK, this is spooky... e-estrogen, indeed... And yeah, as others have said, it's not an old wives' tale, it's true. Just haven't seen it happen online before. :)

I think I might have gotten turned around in this conversation. But...

Any guy who would only go see a movie with his girl simply because of boobs is just a big bag of stupid and should be mocked. You go see a movie your girl wants to because...she wants to. Oy gevalt.

There are guys who, while appreciating a beautiful woman, don't let that control their lives.

Oh, God, inspiring other women's reproductive organs to do nasty, gross stuff with one LJ post had better not be my superpower. *glares*

*shrug* True. Then again, there were people who protested the uncensored version of Schindler's List, because of the nudity. Never underestimate the power of human stupidity.

On my friendslist most of us start within a week of each other...

Which has been now. *wonders if we have many friends in common*

Re the whole synchronised women on LJ: it depends on your friends list. I'm in-sync with my closest friends on LJ, and other people find specific people are on the same cycle as them too. It's seriously freaky, because it always works with how close (friendship, emotionally, whatever) you are with said person.

Yes, this has been studied in length. Yes, this is TMI. Yes, people were bored.
