-- Jess and I were talking last night about Twilight, and while we agree to disagree on the quality of the first three books, we both agreed that Breaking Dawn was utter shite and that we're DYING to see it as a movie in all of its inevitable LOLtastic awfulness. I mean, I can see where the first three books might possibly be able to recover from the creepy uncomfortable vibe in the translation from page to screen (not that they will, mind you, just that it's possible), but neither one of us could see BD succeeding without a complete plot change like, say, adding dinosaurs and a time machine or something.

-- If I'm lucky, I'm getting a temporary layoff for the next two weeks. I won't know until Friday, which sucks, because if I'm really unlucky I'll have to drive all the way to work before they offer it to me, and if I'm really REALLY unlucky saying no the last time they asked if I wanted one two weeks ago will bite me in the ass if they go back around on the seniority list. Damn it, I just want to stay home and finish my freaking book, for crying out. *headdesk*

Next up after finishing The Grand Prize Winner is either finishing The Hollow Girl or rewriting Dead Men in Dark Suits the right way. Okay, first my Yuletide fic and then that.

-- Somebody keep me away from Etsy. I almost want to pet the screen sometimes, I swear to God.

-- You know why it pisses me off when they cancel my TV shows? Because then I end up finding out how things were supposed to go like the Journeyman spoiler for what would have happened at the end of this Kevin McKidd article, and I kind of whimper like an infant. (I'm currently only following six TV shows religiously -- SPN, Gossip Girl, Pushing Daisies, Merlin, NMTB, and Top Chef -- and they had to go and cancel PD on me. BASTARDS.)

-- I still haven't watched Merlin yet. I should do that. Hmm.

-- My mom called before to ask me to stop up at the house before work so she could give me something. I don't know why I'm officially terrified, considering they wouldn't give me something bigger than, like, coupons or something this close to Christmas. Unless it was a kitten. Oh, God, they better not have. Aren't I already close enough to crazy cat lady status with just the one?

Oh Kevin McKidd, if only Journeyman hadn't been cancelled, you wouldn't have to slum it on the tripe that Grey's has become. <_< *hugs Rome dvds* Oh Journeyman, so sad that you had to go and become the new firefly. *siiiigh*

*reads, flails* Nnnnnngggggghhhhh. I so wish Journeyman had gotten a full run :( It was Awesome. And the spoiler just makes it more so.

(silly people-who-cancel-awesome-shows.)

Re: filming Breaking Dawn - I know everyone always brings up the Renesmee scene, for lo, it is horrifying heaped with horrible. But I was looking through Cleolinda's recaps last night, and there's some other stuff in there that makes me go How the fuck are they gonna get away with that? Like Bella's post-sexxin' bruises. Or the whole "going on my first hunt in a blue silk cocktail dress and silver stiletto heels" thing. Gory vampire births are almost acceptable next to those.

Actually, I figure the birth scene's going to be the easiest to film. All they have to do is have the door slam shut, the camera pull back, and the soundtrack filled with muffled ... whatever.

Now as for the rest of it ... I've got nothin'. How exactly DO you gloss over Jacob imprinting on a newborn?

I could almost see the heels, as SparklyVampires seemingly don't need level surfaces. But hunting humans in blue silk cocktail dresses is just impractical. You need freedom of motion to bring down your prey.

NOOOOO THAT JOURNEYMAN SPOILER IS AMAZING.

Possibly the cruelest spoiler I can think of was revealing what Bryan Fuller's plans for the second season of Wonderfalls. And of course now that PD is dead, we'll probably find out something amazing and mindblowing about it, too. BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I LOVE SHOWS. THEY DIE. I seriously got into Angel TWO EPISODES before they pulled the plug. I KILLED IT.

Did you see that article on the Twilight fans' reactions to the movie?

Crazy cat lady = more cats than humans in the house. In my house there are two people and three cats, therefore we are crazy cat ladies.

Hee. At first I read the first sentence like:

'Jesus and I were talking last night about Twilight...'

And I thought, 'Fuck, not only has she gotten religion, but Christ is apparently a Smeyer fan? K.'

OMG, I totally & completely empathize. Must. Be. Strong. I do not need those gorgeous handspun, handdyed yarns. No. And the pretty earrings? No! The funny t-shirt? The nifty nickknacks? Nonono! Augh.

And they canceled Pushing Daisies? I didn't know that. Aw, MAN. =(

Wait, they already cancelled Pushing Daisies?!! *cries* I hope they'll air the rest of the episodes at the very least. I hate it when they show a teaser for the next week's episode and then it never airs because the show got cancelled.

If Bella was chased by a velicoraptor, she'd probably try and make out with it. Then she'd cry after Edward kills it.

Kevin KcKidd is awesome, and works on awesome projects (...usually), and Journeyman was most *certainly* such a project, and that spoiler would have been SO AWESOME to watch unfold, and *BITTER*.

You are not the only one whimpering like an infant, is what I'm saying.

Not meaning to spam your comments/provoke further whimpering/drop-kick a dead horse, but: have you seen this interview with Kevin Falls?

This show would have been so *friggin* incredible. I can't *even*.
