Let The Right One In is maybe my new favorite vampire movie. That was ... okay, creepy and weird and cold, but awesome.

does it come with subtitles already or did you download a subtitled copy? Ignore me if you got it on DVD

Consider me extremely jealous. I've been hearing awesome things about this. Want to see it so badly!

*nods* This would be the anti-Twilight. The vampire actually kills people and doesn't fucking sparkle.

As I've been telling everyone who so much as speaks the words Let the Right One In in sequence, the book is said to contain a lot more backstory about Eli and Hakan.

It does. *nods* I thought the movie captured the mood of the book really well, even without the backstory, but the book is really good. Lindqvist's got a book about zombies too, called Handling the Undead, which I thought was interesting but not quite as good as the vampire book.

Hey I'm glad you liked the movie. :) My husband and I watched it recently and it was actually scary and good.

Oh, isn't it just wonderful? Now I have to get all his other books and spend Christmas reading about vampires, zombies and ghosts and society at large.

The movie also got bonus point for having one of the children's programmes presenters I remember from when I was a kid, as Ginia or whatever her name was.
