Oh, why, hello there, disaster movie from the same guy who brought me The Day After Tomorrow and Independence Day!

Ahhh, major disasters and mockable plots/dialogue/characters. *swoons*

That's supposed to be Everest in the background. Oh, crap, we're all drowning. *giggles*

Oh, Emmerich. He'll just keep throwing stuff at us. "And then there was a hurricane! And then a flood! And then the frogs attacked ..." HEEEEEE.

Wow. Now they won't even tell us the movie's website anymore, they just tell us what to Google for?

I had the sound off because I'm at work, but when the trailer posed the dramatic question I snarked aloud, "Ha! As if," so it's good to see that the premise agrees with me. ;)

An official website didn't even come up when I did it; just the IMDB page and all of the sites for people who think the world is really going to end 12/21/2012.

It's great advertising when you think abourt it. Let everyone who thinks the world is going to end advertise your movie for you.

I could not be more excited about this if I tried. And it stars *John Cusack*. So so excited...

I am gleeful over this movie. I will see it and laugh at inappropriate times like I just did and The Day the Earth Stood Still.

Only problem with this awesome floody floody trailer is that there will be 7 billion people by 2012 (http://geography.about.com/b/2008/06/19/7-billion-people-on-earth-in-2012.htm). Whoops.

Still looks fun.

Heh. Like Emmerich and company would do research. Math is hard, yo. ;)

My first thought was a line from O Brother Where Art Thou: All my sins have been warshed away. *snort*

Looks like it could be a lot of fun to mock.

Is it just a coincidence that Palin will run in 2012? Cause, I can see that causing disaster. Lol.

I desperately hope I'm back in America by the time this movie premieres. I, for one, cannot get enough of the good old "the world goes blooey" trope.

Hee! I loved that Buddhist monk dude. Poor dead Buddhist monk dude!

And isn't 2012 when the end of the world is supposed to come according to IIRC the Mayan calendar (and various Left Behind-esque religious nutcase sects)? And The X-Files?

Who needs the movie, when the trailer is right there to mock. I mean, how would you prepare for the end of the world? Would you actually want to? Maybe you could fail it, like a pop quiz: sorry, you fail. No end for you. Next time, study harder!

And then scales would be tipped by those damn boyscouts.

*glances down* John Cusack is in it? I do not like this.
