La, la, la.

I am currently curled up on the couch in my living room with my electric blanket and wee little Olive the netbook. Also AOL radio has a Renaissance music channel which I haven't been able to turn off thanks to all of the awesome. Whatever's playing right now sounds like the song that would be on the Satan's Alley soundtrack when Kirk Lazarus's character roughly takes Tobey Maguire's character in the rectory for the first time.

... what? It totally does, okay?

I may be a smidge disappointed "Golden Years" hasn't played yet. Oh, Hollywood. Ruining my admittedly weak understanding of music history one 15th-century lute song at a time.

And now, the supervolcano section of "End Day," because I am exactly that paranoid.

For the record, I love how they don't bother using cars with the steering wheel on the other side of the car. Heh.

I missed it when you changed your username, but when this strange new name popped up on my flist, I took one look at the name, not the icon or the content and said 'Hey, I bet TP changed her journal name'.

Have a cookie for being both awesome and apocalyptic.

Heh. I figured if nothing else would alert people to who it was, the apocalypse bit would do the trick. :)

Oh cool! I'm guessing this was a BBC production? And the name of the dvd is End Day? I've got to see if my library has it.

Uh-huh, that was the name of it. It had a bunch of different doomsday scenarios -- tsunami, meteor, supervolcano, pandemic, and the particle accelerator turning on and making a huge black hole. Actually, it looks as if somebody put it up on YouTube in pieces if you want to save a trip to the library. :) (I torrented it because I knew I was going to want to have it around for a while.)

Yeah, it looks like I'm going to have to see it on youtube. I prefer dvds, the tv screen is bigger than the computer's.

Oh my god, in part two when he's getting to the taxi they show a theatre marquee that says Groundhog Day is playing! Awesome meta injoke!
