How can I be expected to do anything else when Sabrina is on TCM? The Audrey Hepburn version, of course, not the Harrison Ford one. Although I actually like that one more than I think I'm supposed to.

My mom, uncle and I went to see Slumdog Millionaire today. I paid for the tickets, which was only fair considering we've been swapping out who pays for the past couple of weeks. They really liked it a lot. They talked about it in the car on the way home, too, which says a lot.

I haven't written a damn thing since Saturday. *sigh*

I really hope that when I check my bank account tomorrow my tax return is in there. Right now most of it's going towards bills (if I get it, and I seriously hope that I do, although if I don't it's not like I'll be broke or anything), paying ahead on the water and electricity and stuff, and picking up a couple of little things. I spotted these on Etsy today and I'd really like to get one, although I'm torn between my initial or something weird like the question mark or something.

I was going to try and sit through Chuck and Heroes tonight, but I want to catch up on Chuck first and while I'm not all that keen on watching the episodes of Heroes I missed, I'm just not in the mood. I may even hold off on Gossip Girl until tomorrow. Also, I still haven't watched Being Human's second episode yet and aren't exactly racing to download the torrent. Eh. At this point, I'd much rather play Spider Solitaire and stare at Open Office without accomplishing anything than watch almost anything on TV other than the three shows I'm still following.

When I went into my bedroom earlier, Otis was lying under the covers curled up as if someone had tucked him in. I would have taken a picture but the second I said, "Awwww," he got up and came over to purr at me and beg for petting. Heh.

EDIT: Slumdog Millionaire protagonist Dev Patel will replace Jesse McCartney as the villain Prince Zuko in M. Night Shyamalan's live-action kid flick The Last Airbender, a feature adaptation of the popular Nickelodeon kid series, according to an article published on Variety's website Sunday night.

Soooooo, all of the good guys are still white? Oh, goodie, more wank ahead ...

The first "Sabrina" is a really sweet, lovely movie. I'm not an Audrey Hepburn fan, but I am a fan of that movie. :-D

Well, Zuko is not actually a villain, just a very confused and angry teenager, and his redemption storyline is the second best thing about Avatar. If they reduce his character to the bad guy in this movie, there is no way I can even pirate it. It's going to look problematic any way they spin it.

Ooh Sabrina. And the Harrison Ford remake didn't entirely suck, like so many movie remakes.

Avatar: yeah, Zuko isn't exactly a villain. Looks like a last minute attempt at ass-coverage by the PTB and yet still not Japanese either, so thanks for playing.

I propose a radical idea: how about they further follow the example of Slumdog Millionaire and set out to make an incredibly popular, box-office smash of a movie that does not have any white people at all? IT'S SO CRAZY IT MIGHT WORK.

Ahhh! Zuko is my favorite character!

One down, four to go.

One of the actors told reporters he'd "just have to get a tan" when it was pointed out to him that he wasn't Asian, like his character, and he's the one who I really want to be replaced. It was either this guy or the kid playing Sokka.
