-- Still no call from my boss telling me the factory will be closed tomorrow. I'm telling you, I'll get a call tomorrow right before I'm supposed to come in from the boss all, "Oh, by the way ... *sigh* (I am paranoid enough to call tomorrow and double-check to make sure it's closed.)

-- I got the purse I ordered from Etsy today. It's a little wider that I thought it was going to be but other than that it's awesome. It's an upcycled red sweater ... I seem to have a thing for the upcycled sweaters, I guess. And it's got this pretty flowered lining.

-- Bryan and I went to see Coraline tonight. It was wonderfully creepy as I expected it to be, although we didn't get a 3D showing so that was a wee bit disappointing, but it was still great. And I don't think Bryan was expecting much but he liked it a lot. Our showing was packed full of kids, which made things interesting when the downstairs neighbor ladies performed their show in the Other world and the one lady just had strategically arranged sequins covering her bits. I mean, really, you couldn't see anything, but it was pretty obvious, after all. I fully expected to see someone covering their kid's eyes or freaking out, but everybody died laughing at that point.

-- I haven't written anything in a week. Yuck.

Ahahahaha I took my boy to see it today, and when the... less-endowed lady started her part of the show he announced in a stage-whisper, "She's almost naked!" *snicker* I guess the novelty had worn off before Ms. Bazooms Galore appeared.

And he really liked it! AND, was riveted for the whole movie which given his spotty attention span was awesome.

I saw Coraline today too, and had the same moment of o.O at the ladies' performance.

Overall I thought it was really great, and incredibly disturbing. I think I'm glad I didn't see the 3D version, because I was disturbed enough without things coming out of the screen towards me.

Oh, yeah, I leaned over at least three times to my brother and said, "Oh, wow, that wasn't creepy as hell," about entirely different things. Other Wybie made my skin crawl every time he was onscreen.

Other Wybie was creepy as hell, and I actually couldn't look at the ghost children-- mostly the long thin one whose face was stuck in a scream. And my face was literally like D: for the entire opening doll sequence.

That part of the movie you speak of got an "eww" out of my eight-year-old daughter.

I think part of it was that there was this one lady in our audience who took one look at the dancing lady and laughed as if she had never seen anything funnier EVER. And when they were swapping back and forth, every time they would cut back to the one with the ginormous assets, as it were, the lady in the audience would bark out another contagious peel of laughter. So I think half of our audience was mostly laughing at/with her. :)

The family behind us was giggling about it. Not at the level your lady was, though...

I smirked, because I knew my utter prude of a daughter (don't dare tease her about having a boyfriend...) would be all "OMG she's nearly nekkid". Kind of glad she's conservative in that sense.
