A few things
Feb. 11th, 2009 04:25 pm-- TWoP examines the misfires of this season of Top Chef. I agree with every single one of those, especially the one about Stefan being made into a lousy excuse for a villain. Aside from his bossiness in team challenges, he doesn't really seem to be a problem. And considering how often he's won or been in the top group, it's pretty much been his title to lose since the first episode. If he's a bit smug, there's a good damn reason.
-- I went down to Panera before and was trying and failing to get the creative monkeys riled, and when the guy next to me saw I was watching QI clips on YouTube and playing Spider Solitaire he leaned over and said, "Is that what you're supposed to be doing?"
He said it in just the right teasing tone of voice for me to say guiltily, "No, it's not," pout, and open up my novel file. Heh.
-- Somebody keep me the hell away from the office supplies section of every store I pass. I went to Wal-Mart for cat litter and bought a notebook I didn't need just 'cause. But it was pretty! They cleaned up the place and suddenly the journals there are really nice. It would be hilarious if I didn't buy one every time I went in there. *sigh*
-- It was at least sixty-five degrees here today. In February. This is what's commonly referred to by meteorologists as a "vicious taunt."
-- The books I ordered still haven't arrived. Damn it. Waaaaaaant. *pouts*
-- My great-uncle is going with me to see Friday the 13th this weekend. Although not, I imagine, for the same nefarious boy-gawking reasons as me.
