He made that crack, then said he made a list of people he wanted to thank just in case everybody in the Academy was commie homo-loving sons of guns (heh), then said that those who were protesting (I guess there were people outside protesting all the gay rights stuff) would see shame in their grandchildren's eyes because they were falling behind progress, and then he specifically thanked Mickey Rourke and Hollywood for welcoming Mickey back into the forefront. It was a really great speech.

He also said something about how he knew how difficult he made it for people to like him, which was a nice bit of self-knowledge there.

ooh, I wouldn't have expected him to say something like that which is nice. I do think he's interesting, especially after reading a biography which I only wanted to read in the first place to find out more about his brother, Chris.
