... more excited about Knowing than Watchmen. You know, other than Nicolas Cage, and we already know how questionable HIS tastes are.

This article is possibly going to make me piss myself with glee. Because okay, big disaster movie, two hours of pure unadulterated explosion porn, AND THEN NICOLAS CAGE'S CHARACTER HAS TOURETTE'S. It's like they're making the cheesiest big-budget disaster movie in creation EVER just for me.

Oh, please let the dialogue be horrendous! *crosses fingers*

For the record, I hope this wins a BILLION Razzies next year.

I really do have to write MY disaster movie one of these days -- the kid dies, the dog dies, the big strapping hero-type guy dies first, the injured guy who tells someone else about his girlfriend/wife back home lives and the person he tells dies in the next scene, the one who saves them all is a kickass chick, and in the end when the guy who's been clicking with her the entire movie tries to kiss her in gratitude that they're alive, she turns him down gently before running into the arms of her very worried, very pregnant wife.

*

It really is criminal that I don't have more Earth, Wind, and Fire on my MP3 player.

*

Wes Ramsey (Christian in Latter Days, Wyatt on Charmed) is going to play Eric Brady on Days, a role last played by Jensen Ackles.

So basically, these are my fandoms right now:

EDIT: I was just innocently listening to the party hits station on AOL Radio and then "Reach Out" by Hilary Duff came on and WHAT IN HOLY HELL IS THIS BLASPHEMOUS FUCKERY?! STOP TOUCHING "PERSONAL JESUS" IN THE SWIMSUIT AREA, YOU HACK. *pounds her*

Just out of curiousity, did you see "The Host" and what did you think about the ending?

P.S. I love your LJ layout.

*snort* It's not a disaster movie, but have you seen the first "Feast?" It's fucking hysterical, and yes. The kick ass chick saves the day.

OMG, yes please, write that movie. :-D

((also, seconding the recommendation for Feast))

Dean Winchester was on a soap opera? LOL talk about a den of evil.

And Nicholas Cage screaming 'Fucker shit cock!' can't be anything but awesome.

Relatedly, one of the aspects of the Scarface video game is intimidation by pressing one specific button. But it works all the time, anywhere.

So we officially have a Tourrete's button.

I couldn't care less about Watchmen. But I am definitely planning to see Knowing. I didn't know for sure when it was coming out though.

Also? *FLAILS LIKE A FLAILING THING* at the Wes Ramsey news link. That makes my fannish heart so gleeful.

...you're not the only person >_gt;

(the trailers for it make it look AWESOME, in the cheesy high-budget lame-script improbable-disasters end-of-world sort of way. ♥ I an so totally planning on seeing it...)

I feel exactly the same. Must...get...more...EW&F.

oh, that Hilary Duff song. I KNOW, RIGHT? My friend pointed it out to me last month or something and I freaked out.

I mean...Marilyn Manson's version was pretty decent. It basically gothed the song up a bit. BUT COME ON. LEAVE DEPECHE MODE ALONE, DUFF.

I would pay ridiculously over-inflated movie ticket prices to see your disaster movie.
More than once, even!

Hahaha that wasn't Dean Winchester. That was an anemic vanilla clone. Eric Brady was so boring and 2d it took Days ten years to find a reason to bring him back.

Admittedly, though, that was the anemic vanilla clone that had every woman on the floor of my dorm my third year of college watching Days obsessively, nearly all of them for the first time ever.

Oh, Jensen, you magnificent twink. *snickers*

Oh, I crushed, too. I won't lie. It wasn't until Dark Angel that I realized he was more than a pretty face with the brains and personality of sand, however.

I...have a strange affection for the abomination that is Reach Out (and I hated the Manson cover, and was infuriated when my niece preferred it to the original,) but the radio edit is definitely inferior, if that's what you heard.

I read a blog post in December (I think it was at the LA Times) and Gahan talked about the aforementioned abomination and he clearly is not a fan, but his daughter LOVES it. He said she told him "but it's not the same."
