This is how you know you spend too much time at Panera.

If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have none at all.

So I head down to Panera to settle in and get that last chapter done, and when the girl at the register tried my debit card it wouldn't work. So I called my bank, because last time I checked there was ninety bucks in there, so I should have been able to handle a six-dollar bread bowl of soup and a drink. After talking with a representative, I found out the problem -- there's a charge on my account for about $75 for the local mini-mart.

As I told the rep, "All I buy there is gas and the occasional container of milk. Unless I suddenly bought four cars and brought them there for a fill-up at the same time, there's no way I would EVER spend $75 at Turkey Hill, of all places."

So now I have to fill out paperwork to get the money back and there's technically nothing in my bank account right now and I kinda want to punch someone.

As for the subject line, the girl at the register felt so bad she gave me a cup for the fountain drinks and said, "Here, take it, it's not like you're not here all the time anyway."
