A quick question to those watching Harper's Island: Who do you think is the killer?

I think it's Jimmy. And somebody else, but definitely Jimmy.

I love Jimmy, but I really do think it's him, working with someone else who's from off the island or not from his known circle of friends. I think he's trying to get back at Abby -- he's just acting too sane and sweet about her coming back -- and I think his partner is somebody out of the blue, somebody who we wouldn't see coming. Right now, I'm leaning towards Cal or Chloe, although if this show really loved me, it would be Trish. Heh.

I think I would be the least impressed if it turned out to be Abby. By now, the poor-victim-with-unknown-homicidal-tendencies is such a horror-thriller cliche. Oh, and also Shane or JD, because they're SUCH homicidal neon signs it's unreal.

Oh, and as much as I love Trish and Henry -- oh, my God, how fucking hot are THOSE two together?! -- I would love it if they killed one of them off, like, in the next episode or something. They won't, but I would enjoy the HELL out of the shock of it.

I think it's Henry. Much has been made of his knowing boats very well, and two murders already have been boat related. I think Henry must have been related to the killer from the past somehow important, and this is his vengeance for Abby's father gunning him down and for the rich snobs who treated him as "the help". He knows the island. He knows it well... plus, the priest who was beheaded would not only know the sins of any locals, but the sins that go back to the earlier years when Abby & Henry were conceived/infants. What if Abby's father killed Henry's real father? It explains killing a nosy uncle, a knows-too-much priest, and anyone related to his father's crimes.

I honestly think Jimmy is the simple, hot, sweet dufus. I like him that way. Also, Chloe's the only one of the females besides Abby with a personality. I hope she lasts quite a while.

Also, I do not completely scoff at this theory. This I could believe. Especially because Henry was there right after Trish was nearly drowned at the end there.

I think velocityboy meant the sheriff gunned down the killer. I can't think of his name. John Whittaker? For some reason his name just escapes me. But I agree, that would definitely be an awesome twist.

But blaaaast, I really need to watch the latest episode!

I wrote unclearly... Sheriff Mills gunned down Wakefield, whom I think might be Henry's real father. As a revenge to the survivors of Dad's killing spree (two daughters of two victims), I can see Henry killing off Kelly (and even setting up his obviously abnormal possible half-brother) and wanting Abby to join the dead herself, best friendship or not, if she gets in the way of his scheme.

I really think it's Henry, but the brilliant thing about this show's construction is that there are a few solid leads, a few obvious and not-so-obvious red herrings, and we're only getting these characters in tiny doses (except Abby), so they conceal as much as they give away.
