apocalypsos: (otis)
Who wants to come over my house and let my cat sleep on their lap for a few hours? 'Cause he's been sitting here for a while now and isn't about to leave, and I've been trained over the last thirty years of my life that if a purring cat jumps into your lap and goes to sleep you just start petting and don't get up unless the house is on fire.

Aaaand now I'm wondering if there's some sort of addendum if the cat is on fire.

Oh, don't look at me like that. I'm not going to set Otis on fire.

On the other hand, he is purring and rubbing up against my corduroy jacket. He may just spontaneously combust before I can stop him.

... er, this is my first four-day weekend without the possibility of overtime in two months. Can you tell?

I really am just totally hopeless, aren't I? HEE.

The good news: I know exactly what the first two chapters of my NaNo novel entail.

The bad news: Instead of starting the damn thing, I took a two-hour nap. *headsmack*

The strange news: Is it weird if I think I've decided the title is, "For A Good Time, Call Catastrophe"? I mean, obviously I can always change it later but it kinda fits. Hmm.

The ironic news: It turns out the Coffeehouse music on Launchcast puts me right to sleep.
