Per this link:

Summer in Scranton? Why not. NBC has set "The Office" star/scribe Mindy Kaling is set to host the "Office Games" in the show's hometown of Scranton, Penn. on July 19. It's a promotional stunt to mark the launch of two games based on the show -- one a vidgame-style DVD, the other an old-fashioned board game based on "Office" trivia. She must be getting her own line of Kelly Kapoor nail polish and lip gloss down the road, because Kaling has committed to spending the day in and around the Mall at Steamtown officiating a "day full of Dunder Mifflin fun," including a 2K "fun run," a beet-eating contest, a trivia challenge and an autograph sesh. Events will raise money for the Scranton-based charitable org United Neighborhood Centers of Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Ooo, ooo! I don't have to work on the 19th! I can go, I can go! *twirls*

No, seriously, I want to know. Doesn't Axel have anything else to do? Or did they really cancel every bar fight, Rammstein concert, and hate crime in Dusseldorf?

UGH.

Is anybody else annoyed by that Nutrisystem commercial where Jillian Barberie is like, "Okay, I know I'm not your average girl, I loooooove sports"? And then she catches a football and says, "Now how many girls do you know who can do that"?

Dude, pretty much EVERY woman I know likes some kind of sport. Watching, playing, whatever. And how many women do I know who can catch a football tossed to them from about ten feet away? Uh, most of them? It's not exactly like it's brain surgery,

Next up: Watch Jillian Barberie show you how she can even do math! And that's HARD for girls, don't you know.

*headdesk*

EDIT: In other news, this is the way I want my hair cut. )

-- I usually only play the same few playlists off my Zen but I just put it on Random Play All for kicks and bwahahahahaha. There is a lot of music on here that I'd completely forgotten I have.

-- My plans for the Fourth of July involve my couch, my Alpha Smart, beef chow mein, and a Law and Order: Criminal Intent marathon on USA. My boring life, let me show you it. *sigh*

-- Secrets of Stradivarius Explained -- In other words, why those violins sound so damn beautiful.

-- There's Oscar talk about Heath Ledger's performance in The Dark Knight. For some reason I feel really weird about him being nominated, because that role pretty much killed him. And yet at the same time, that role pretty much killed him.. How'd you like to be the rest of the actors in THAT category, huh? He put EVERYTHING into the Joker -- just seeing the trailer's enough to know that -- and it's just ... YES. God, yes.

-- A pretty good example of why I hate Perez Hilton. Yeah, like anybody who read I Taught Your Boyfriend That Thing You Like couldn't figure that out. (I particularly liked the bit from I Love The New Millenium talking about Neil Patrick Harris and Lance Bass coming out where he was like, "I didn't FORCE them out of the closet! I just posted the pictures and presented the facts." Uh, hate to break it to you, Perez, BUT ...)

EDIT: Oh, and also I should not be listening to anything from the 28 Days Later soundtrack at night, as now I keep expecting zombies to pour from every doorway.
