-- I may be a bit out of it for the next week or so. I have overtime tonight and tomorrow night, my shift starts on Tuesday, and the boss on the other night shift, who likes me, told me I could work Monday, too. I'm trying to take as much overtime as possible while it's still available so I can pay ahead in my bills, not have to worry when overtime stops and they start laying us off after Christmas, and maybe get a new laptop before the end of the year. It'll cut into my writing time a bit, but better to have writing time and money later than writing time now and no money to worry about.

-- [livejournal.com profile] xdawnfirex made "community organizer" icons here. And per [livejournal.com profile] dargie, a bumper sticker: Jesus was a community organizer; Pontius Pilate was a governor.

-- I could live happy if I never see another commercial for My Best Friend's Girl. Or anything starring Dane Cook, quite frankly.

-- I still have to get the oil changed in my car. Boy, that'll be fun to try working twelve hours a night for the next week.

-- I also need a haircut. It's going to have to wait until I get paid on Thursday. Urgh. I'm starting to get poofy Ronald McDonald hair. *frowns*

-- The downside of all of the overtime is I'm not making much of a dent in my word count for this month. The upside is that I'm getting bunches of planning done for each of the novels I'm working on. I was going to try and get Chapter Three of The Hollow Girl halfway finished today but I was way too tired after last night to do much more than pass out on the couch and sleeeeep.

I have to leave for work in ten minutes.

Otis just hopped up into my lap, curled up, and is now purring himself to sleep while kneading my thigh with his paws.

You cat owners realize my dilemma. I may be stuck here FOREVER.
