When I started setting up my netbook on the very next table over (so, like, four feet away from him), he said loudly in a snotty tone of voice to his sister (his mom and other sister were elsewhere) while my back was turned to him, "Oh, I've seen those. I would never get one, though, because they're five hundred bucks and the battery doesn't even last that long."
Dude, you are eight AT THE MOST. Shut it, grasshopper.
And then later on he was whining to his mother because she wouldn't say yes to getting him one of those little gas motorbikes and then complained when she said she didn't spend the same amount on their Easter gifts as she would on their Christmas presents.
I miss those really sweet kids from that one Panera trip who sat quietly and read their thirty-year-old cookbooks. *sigh*
