-- Only three days until DC, WOOHOO! I realized yesterday that this week is pretty much going to be a complete and total loss at work, because I only barely restrained myself from spending the entire day twirling around in my chair and squealing, "Wheeee!" like the pig in the Geico commercial. Can I go on vacation now? How about now?

-- Speaking of, I'm only barely resisting the temptation to call in sick on Thursday. I have two days worth of sick days left, and I really don't want to lose one just in case the weather decides to act up this year -- we usually don't get our worst weather until after January 1st around here, but still. That said, if today and tomorrow are wretched at work, I may just do what Bryan's planning on doing as well and skipping Thursday.

-- Speaking of again, I'm supposed to spend two hours today explaining my job processes to a business analyst. It's me and three other people doing it, one of us each day this week, and I'm pretty sure it's with different business analysts. That said, I'm not even sure why they picked me, of all people. I'm not really sure I'm good enough at my job to warrant, "Hey, let's pick her to teach a consultant about how our entire department runs."

-- In other work-related news, the boss who puts together the schedule for us at Wegmans told me yesterday that since I'm going to be missing the beginning of the week due to my vacation, he scheduled me for Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday next week. Uh, thank you? I guess?

-- I started listening to The Hunger Games at work, which I've never had a chance to read, but stopped about halfway through the work day to listen to something a little more peppy and upbeat, like Into Thin Air or that book about Columbine I have on my MP3 player. (Not that it's not good, but Jesus Christ sobbing in a straitjacket, it's depressing.)
