Note to self:
Nov. 27th, 2010 07:08 amIf you are going to torrent a TV show you've been wanting to watch episode by episode so that you can put them on your MP3 player to watch at work, perhaps you should start with the first season rather than the second so that you won't have to go to work the next day with nine or ten episodes you can't watch because you don't have the first twenty or so downloaded yet. URGH.
But ... yeah. Starting in on Community, which hopefully I will have in total for tomorrow's bout of overtime, as even though I love it to pieces there's only so many times I can watch Bravo's 100 Scariest Movie Moments over and over again.
(What I really need to do is see about downloading the first four seasons of Project Runway onto the thing, as I'm pretty sure that if I put them on there I'll never have to put anything else on there again. Heh.)

So when it comes to NaNo, it's going to be one of those situations where I'm going to have to write a bunch of bullshit over the next four days if I have any hope of winning. This is not outside the realm of possibility, because I'm pretty sure I've already written a bunch of aimless bullshit, so something like 35k of even MORE bullshit that's even MORE aimless should not be that damn difficult.
At least, you'd think it wouldn't be. *sigh*
Anyway, I'm looking for a little inspiration. Um, maybe you guys could help? *bats eyelashes*
Basically, what are your biggest pet peeves in lit? You know, the sort of thing that will or has made you want to throw a book at a wall. Something that makes you want to punch a character or the author when it happens in a story.
There's a thread in the story that's more than a little meta, so a little sarcastic backhanding of annoying paranormal romance/urban fantasy tropes is the norm.

I wonder what it says about me that out of all of the things in the world I as a single woman have ever bought in bulk due to how often I eat them, the only two things I've ever purchased that way (both over the Internet, since I can't get them in bulk anywhere else, it seems) is David pumpkin seeds (which should be arriving today and should be finished off by the time my next paycheck rolls around) and Pop Nots (of which I would have bought a case of the butter-flavored this week if it weren't for the fact that it comes out to $45 with the shipping and ... yeah, no.)
If only I could justify buying Cheetos by the barrel and parking a tanker truck of Pepsi in my driveway. *sigh*
