I'm a polite troll.
Feb. 15th, 2011 07:49 amI went onto a Yahoo article about Cynthia Nixon's new baby featuring a picture of her, her wife, and their adorable redheaded son -- which was filled with the usual charming comments you'd expect from Yahoo commenters -- and left my own:
What an adorable baby! Congratulations to the both of them. :)
Let's see how many thumbs down I can get for being fucking NICE.
(I'm at three thumbs up and one thumbs down. C'mon, Yahoo commenters, you're disappointing me. I thought you were ALL supposed to be assholes!)
In other news, I feel out of touch with fandom lately. Seriously, I come home from work and instead of going, "Supernatural is on!" or "Community is on!" or "I have a TV and know how to turn it on!", I'm just like, "Blaaaaaaaaaah." It's really sad that the only thing I'm watching any regularity and/or am completely caught up on is American Idol, which -- and to be fair, I'm not the best judge due to only having seen one previous season in total -- is better than it was with the previous judges, as far as I'm concerned. The three of them started out too nice, and now it's Hollywood Week and they (or at least J.Lo and S.Ty) have to learn how to be mean, or at least how to say no.
The really unfair thing about not being all that excited by TV right now is that my mother just offered to give me the big-screen TV they have in their game room so that they can get another one. Yay! I'll have an enormous TV I ... don't currently have a strong urge to watch. (I am, however, THRILLED at the prospect of getting it. Eventually I will crawl out of my fannish funk, I swear.)
