apocalypsosI was going to do a meta post asking people what level of sexism or misogyny they'll tolerate in a movie or TV show or whatever before it either ruins it enough for them to either stop watching it and they handwave it in an effort to enjoy the festivities, but then I pictured the glorious wank that would inevitably follow and I told myself, "Oh, no, honey, we're not doing that."

Something that makes me cringe might seem like a plot or character device with few or no misogynistic overtones to my friend. Of course, there are broad and obvious things that will hit everyone, but past that, it's so hard to say. So until we can come up with a quantifier that everyone can agree with, I feel like the "level of sexism or misogyny" is such a personalized conclusion and thermometer, so to speak, that I think it's hard to debate.
