It's very hard to argue you can't do math when you're trying to compare the percentages of dead major characters by sex based on the list given by Wikipedia. (According to that short list, with Chuck added in since he appears to qualify but isn't listed, 38% of major male characters are still alive, as opposed to 31% of female characters. And if you take out Dean and Sam because they're the leads and they've both technically died, the percentages are even. EDIT: Also, to be fair, the living women have still been in fewer episodes than the living men.)
Also, I'm not allowed to figure it out with all characters from the very first episode. I have a life to have and a job to hunt for and a book to write. Hmph.
