A few things

-- Cracked did the Terminator timeline. They're bigger men than I. (That wouldn't take much. Warwick Davis is a bigger man than I.)

-- seperis has thoughts on STXI. I approve and wish to subscribe to her newsletter.

-- Fox non-apologizes for Nigel's SYTYCD remarks the other day. As in, "I'm sorry you were offended," not, "I'm sorry for what was said." Classy. And seriously, does he always say that shit to gay dancers, or is it just me? Granted, one of the dancers from the other day wasn't gay, but he was dancing with another man, which Nigel would leap on in a heartbeat.

-- Apparently there's a Jon and Kate Plus 8 marathon today. ... okay.

-- I'm watching an early episode of Law and Order in which James Earl Jones is playing the defense attorney. This is surreal.

-- I'm going to finish chapter 17 of Heroine Addiction and then drag my sorry ass up to my parents' house. I am so not in the mood to deal with family drama today, I swear to god.

-- If somebody wins the Powerball tonight, please pay off my bills and buy me a bulldog puppy.

If I didn't love dancing so much, I would boycott SYTYCD solely because Nigel has ALWAYS said such homophobic, offensive shit. And I hate the contrivance of the boy-girl pairs. Ballroom has it's own huge international competition circuit and it holds the show back from exploring dance in MODERN TIMES. Which is no longer about boy-girl crap. Even ABT doesn't stick to that anymore.

I don't even get how anyone can work in the dance industry, or the entertainment industry in general, and be THIS uncomfortable around gay guys. Seriously? How does he make it through the day like this? I still love that "Oh, you'll make the audience uncomfortable" bullshit, because honestly, the SYTYCD audience and the percentage of the population who'd get squicked watching two men simply DANCE doesn't greatly overlap.
